Can everyone here join forces and…

Can everyone here join forces and persuade everyone else in the blocks to take James Gibb to FTT.? Surely the Scottish government should get involved. They are taking advantage of owners, many who are in negative equity, particularly in Aberdeen. They just do not do inspections or repairs. I have a record of all the times the light bulbs have been changed in my development and it is shocking. We have had LED technology for a number of years and the decent brands last for 25,000 hours. Cheap quality contractors, expensive work. Laziness on behalf of James Gibb.

Very poor response times - if at all

As most people have said they do not respond quickly if at all, to questions or problems. My development has had 4 property managers in a year. They are very expensive, do not often get proper quotes and their staff are either inadequately trained or under perform. SO much more to say about this company but others have already expressed opinions I totally agree with.

Most deceitful company I have ever dealt with.

I agree absolutely with all the negative reviews. They are the most shocking company I have ever dealt with. They do not answer the phone, reply to your emails, do anything. They have reduced the number of inspections of properties that they signed up to and even then mark the reports as nothing needing doing when clearly the developments are deteriorating
Most of the employees still seem to work from home nearly 2 years after the Covid lockdown in Scotland ended. Checking of contractors work after completion of job is not done. Contractors just seem to get paid without the standard of the work being checked in most instances. Fewer people are paying the factor as they don't see any benefit from them which results in those that do pay being penalised by lack of work being done or higher charges. The response to this will be that they don't have enough information to identify me.

You are correct, unfortunately, you have not left information allowing us to identify your Development or property, however we are keen to assist you as soon as possible. We do carry out regular inspections, at minimum, one inspection per quarter and our site inspection report is made available on James Gibb+. The overall majority of our staff are office based, other than our Development Managers who are site and office based due to the nature of their job role. Without specific information concerning the poor workmanship allegation, we are unable to assist on this public platform, however your comments are concerning and merit investigation by your appointed Development Manager. On a separate note, there may be provisions within your Deed of Conditions which would allow homeowners to set up a Residents Association and Committee which may help you and the other homeowners within your development.
