A few improvements would be very helpful
The car-parking information was a bit inadequate. There are no pedestrian exit signs inside the car park and, once I'd found the way down, I had no idea how to get to the building. The back door might have been signed but I didn't know what I was looking for. I found the Co-op exit and walked through the shop to the street then searched for the Vista building. Advance instructions would have been very helpful. When one is a bit nervous about having a procedure, anything that makes getting there clearer really helps keep one a little calmer.
The waiting area was adequate but would be better not being on view to passers-by in the street. Also, since I was there because of a painful hip, I wasn't comfortable on the chairs which were very hard. Softer furnishings would be helpful for patients such as myself.
When I have had an MRI in the past, it was suggested to me to bring a CD to help with the noise inside the machine. There was no suggestion to do this at Vista. Also, the last one I had, I could see the operators, which was comforting, but I had no view of them here.
I was given an emergency button to press if all was not well and it was good to have that.
I found the 'daylight' style of lighting and the cool, fresh air inside the machine very helpful too.
