I booked a trip with cleartrip with a trip ID 2301243$$$$8 for my family from Trivandrum to Abu Dhabi
they could not travel due to an emergency and the airlines cancellation refund was 1126.37 aed and cleartrip is talking about refunding 390 aed only citing some lame excuse like cashbacks and cancellation fee form their side also
can you imagine?? such a rip off!!
i am planning to go to the court against them as someone need stop
this is my second time with cleartrip. first issue was in 2020 and i completely forgot and booked again and now this!!!

This company have such bad humanitarian concern redressal that it is inhumane and pathetic
I had a booking done for my family on 7th April to travel from India to Abudhabi

I had to book with Airarabia as the originally booked airindia express was missed by my family .
we had a medical emergency with my nephew having a fall and hitting his head ad having a huge cut just hours before the flight am writing another review for them as well

if they are concerned about genuinity I was ready to give them the medical records of my nephew, but who cares

anyways this guys i told them i booked another flight immediately in a hurry and my frame of my mimd was horrible as i was worried for my nephew who is just a 4 year old kid so much
i typed my sister in laws last name differently, noticed it today morning and it was just 10 hours before the flight
they just point blank told me it was after 12 hours and made me BUY A NEW TICKET.WHERE IS THE JUSTICE IN THIS,IS THERE NO CONCERN FOR MEDICAL EMERGECIES AND PEOPLE'S FRAME OF MIND AND THE HUMAN ERRORS WHICH HAPPEN

I AM TRYING TO GET TO THE HIGHER AUTHORITIES AND FILE A COMPLAINT ALSO AS I AM DEEPLY PAINED

BUT FROM NOW ON NEVER EVER WILL I TRAVEL IN AIRARABIA

THIS COMPANIES HAVE ZERO HUMANITARIAN CONCERNS and just care about money.
why don't these people understand that emergencies happen to all and can happen to even them and their families tomorrow

they had to be in the hospital for medical evaluation, had scans done etc
i have the medical details with me as well

they just did not cater to any of our concerns and just paid 1/5th of my ticket back as cancellation
guys tomorrow this can happen to your families also
this is a genuine concern and with all due respect just refund the one or at least a much better fraction

even to change flights I had to pay extra

I will also try and write to the air traffic authorities,airport authorities and the government to express my concern

I bought a keyboard for my child at around 700 aed..WITH NO Adapter WHICH WAS NOT MENTIONED
Later I am finding that it is available for 616 aed with adapter in other sites .I tried returning it but they say that since I opened it they cannot take it back..WHAT THE HECK?????how will I know about what is inside if I don't open it..are they for real..
Their customer service is the biggest joke I have ever ever seen...they are useless and cold..
LAST TIME AND I WILL MAKE SURE THEY LOSE ATLEAST A TEN customers in my friend and family circle

Hi.i will be honest with you.there were a few issues regarding customs duty which made a lot of trouble for me and a whole lot of emails.but in the end customer care solved the ussue..so please make sure you tell the customer upfront about the extra money involved to avoid any unwanted surprises.but full credit to smartbuy they refunded the extra amount.

I was contacted by Etihad and in all due fairness i must say the issue was sorted out.i have received a travel bank credit.i am yet to use it.will review again after i try to use it..
Anyways thank you Etihad for lifting a burden off me.appreciate it.
Also appreciate forums like trust pilot where we can voice genuine concerns and get justice.thank you..

this is not the way you treat your customers, sorry to say that and please stay away from this lot.
i have decided to let all my friends, relatives and colleagues know about this and so they can avoid travelling with Etihad/booking with cleartrip again

since April when unfortunately i booked a ticket with Etihad, A MISTAKE I WILL NEVER DO AGAIN, i have been trying to get it transferred as travel credit.
I made innumerable calls, emails what not.
as i made the booking via clear trip i contacted them first who were absolutely of no help and worthless especially considering that another travel site MMT from whom i booked for a relative was refunded immediately .
then contacted directly Etihad as per cleartrip directives from August, but again to no avail .the sweet people in customer service are kind and each time will say they are forwarding ,but nothing happens

i have no choice but to raise my complaint to the higher authorities ,the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and the consumer section of the court here for all the discomfort, mental exhaustion and given the most abominable service ever.
i am sure they will offer compassionate service as a healthcare worker, a doctor who was tirelessly working in this covid era and because i could not attend to other things has been fleeced by Etihad and clear trip.

as a physician working in a Govt.hospital in Abudhabi the last few months with covid work has been sooo hectic i was not able to even catch up on my routine activities.

In this time when everyone appreciates health care workers CLEARTRIP and etihad has decided to cheat on me causing svere distress and helplessness.

I had booked tickets for my family in April for an amount of 5200 AED which they are refusing to refund.
when contacted etihad has maintained that it is CLEARTRIP who has to do it.

however cleartrip when contacted are just sending automated messages with no solid answer .
they are just updating in the profile that your refund will be processed by june,then july,then august and now it is written as September

i had booked a ticket with MAKE MY TRIP in the same period and they refunded in flat ten days in April itself which was also an etihad flight.

So it is quite evident this website is cheating people and i have come across a ton of reviews and complaints in many other sites also against them

i have already complained against this fraudsters to aviation council as well as consumer protections ministry
hopefully some one will intervene and close down this group or give justice to all of us here who were cheated.mean while we can all ask our family and friends to stay away from this wolf pack...please.i really do not want any one else to go through this distress
