Review of RDP.sh
Failing hardware and hacker attacks.
I just wasted 2 days trying to setup a server with them that was on sale. The server came with a bunch of users and a million issues... 41 critical error Windows kernel (hardware malfunction, or malware). The antivirus is managed by them and no way to run scans. When I enabled user lockout and audit, there were 2000 logon attempts and a bunch of lockouts... The responses are slow and they don't explain anything, just offer reinstalling to a different node with a complete loss of data. Reinstalled server had the same issues.
It was worth checking because how cheap it was but ultimately, it's a terrible deal.
Review of HostGator
I moved to Hostinger.
Their renewal prices are outrageous and they bombard you with shady sales tactics, like charging for an already transferred domain.
Also I infected my laptop with a TjojanBTCextractor virus from backing up my cPanel. It infected multiple hidden folders that were supposedly protected on the server side.
The introductory price is low but beware of the security risks and up-charges.
Review of Turkish Airlines
They charged us almost €1000 for luggage, which they also lost due to scheduling only a 40-minute layover between international flights in a large Istambul airport.
Here is how it goes: they take your bags, put them on the conveyor, and then take you to a window where you must pay whatever they say. We didn't see the bags weighed, and they just told us it was 15€ per kilo, and we couldn't take anything out or change our minds without losing the flight...It felt like an extortion. In fact, it WAS extortion.
We had to literally run between flights and then were stopped and had to call managers to check our papers because someone didn't sign off on something. The entire plane was waiting for that.
Then they proudly served us a spoiled mush on the plane and declared our bags lost.
The bags did finally make it, but the feeling remained.
Review of TradeStation
They keep eating money in my paper-trading account. At first they asked to increase the amount from $3K to $5K to avoid inactivity and platform fees. I did that but they charged anyways. Now they charge $40 for data that they subscribe you to automatically without your input. I've never seen this with any broker.
I'll adjust this review if they remove these fees but I wish they wouldn't nickle and dime like that. With interest rates this high keeping $5100 in their account for the privilege to paper-trade should be enough. I feel like I have to constantly defend myself from their ever-changing rules...
Review of juno.finance
I must say I love it. Aside from their recent rate reduction from 5% to 3% on balances less than 20K they have been a high performing bank and paid me high interest on my checking account. Their interface and customer support is great. I wish all banks were this convenient.
Review of Purchase Software
I have bought two Adobe products and so far so good. The only minor issue is the payment process being kind of awkward. But aside from that the software seems to be working and I'm quite happy with it.

Pretty good for digital nomads. This is a good option if you travel and need to pay in local currency. They provide an easy currency switch at an ok rate. The best part is they pay as of this time a decent rate on USD account balance. I like it.
Review of Wellsfargo
This bank is a scammer. I've been with them for many years and finally got tired of their constant shady little schemes to nickel and dime you. They always get sued for it, too. They invent deposit boxes you "signed up" for, reactivate and collect interest on cards you cancelled, allow the same merchants you blocked to charge you on a new card, hide your card from your view in the account and then charge interest on the balance you can't see... Just yesterday I tried to move my money out so I can close the account and guess what?! they switched it and now I'm moving the money in, haha... it is kind of funny how bad they are. Can't wait to finally never have to deal with them again. I hope they go bust.
Review of Photoshop
They don't explicitly tell you about the fees. If you try to cancel the monthly subscription the fee is huge. You will be on the hook to pay for the majority of the annual contract. This is not obvious when you sign up and berried in the fine print. Never again will buy anything from Adobe.
Review of Wellsfargo
Worst bank ever. I've been their customer for a decade and a half and I am so tired of their scams. They constantly seek ways to defraud their customers. They once invented a deposit box I had paid for a year and refused to refund me for it or close it. (Coincidentally there was a huge lawsuit about the same thing happening to other customers). Recently I discovered I still owed a credit card with them which wasn't showing up on my app or account. It was collecting interest and had an unauthorized charge - the same merchant that kept charging my card in the past and the reason why I cancelled the card. When I called to try to figure out why this card was active and collecting interest, while not showing up in my accounts and why the same merchant is allowed to charge me they never disputed anything and played some shuffling tricks to ensure they would get their service fees. I now have the card finally showing up in my accounts with more charges that have no description and I can't see the history of that card at all... They are truly masters of obfuscating things to nickel and dime. I think they've recently been sued again for these frauds.
I'm closing all of my WF with great satisfaction.
Review of Airbnb
Still the best. I've been traveling for seven years as a nomad and it wouldn't be possible without Airbnb. Despite having some difficulties with the hosts, I still prefer to book using this platform.
Some things that could be improved: a limited liability for the tenants with maximum of $100 - such as what they do on VRBO. I had a bad host trying to charge me an arm and a leg for imaginary damage.
But my biggest beef with Airbnb was dealing with a burnt laptop and cell-phone that were destroyed by a power surge. The host refused to cover it and Airbnb had me deal with a Panama insurance company that wasted 6 months of my time and refused my claim, despite all the evidence in my favor. It was extremely frustrating and expensive.
But on other occasions they refunded me fully for bad stays, so all-in-all, I can't complain too much.
Review of HousingAnywhere
Lucky experience. I got lucky with a good host, but I don't know if I would do this again. Some things leave you very vulnerable when using a platform like this.
For example, you must sign the contract and give a deposit in person, with no support from the platform past 48 hours after check-in.
There are also annoying types of contracts that could get you if you are not careful - the monthly and fortnightly. The monthly is when you pay for the entire month even if you stay for just one day of that month. So if you book on August 30 and check out on October 1, you will pay for THREE months!!! Thankfully I caught it and asked my host to change the contract type to "daily".
Overall, I think it's a lot better than some other platforms that don't even let you contact a person before booking, but still some features could be made safer for the tenants. For example, the contract and deposit should be automated, and there should be some sort of an insurance and support throughout the stay. Monthly contract type should be removed.

$2200 email.
So in order for you to contact a host on their platform you must agree to all of their terms and conditions and pay the rent upfront. Don't be fooled by the promise of some "satisfaction guarantees"; If you book within 2 month of check-in -- say goodbye to your money. They immediately give you the email address of the host and the deal is sealed - no matter what you find out about the apartment, or even if the host was shady.
For example, my host was out of town, couldn't sign the contract in person, and demanded the deposit would be given to a stranger - a common scam in Barcelona, which I refused. The apartment also turned out to have a huge construction, but since the photos showed it in the window, it didn't matter - you agree to everything vaguely shown in the photos...
In my case, I was lucky the host wasn't a scammer and agreed to help me get the refund which they reluctantly issued after a lot of sent screenshots, but this scenario could have gone way worse and I would have a terrible time trying to prove something to my bank. This company thrives on their fine print and is probably the worst rental platform.

Review of The Spanish Group
Nothing Spanish about this group. Do NOT use them to translate immigration documents for Spanish consulate. They are not real SWORN translators, but a dishonest company from California. They sell you the wrong thing knowingly jeopardizing the visa process and then try to upsell even more wrong things, like notarizing the incorrectly translated documents and asking you to pay them 5x more to actually sworn translate... Too much to write but the entire communication with them was disgusting.
I only got a refund from them because I was lucky their employees accidentally admitted to their unprofessional practices, which would win a case with the bank. Others might not be so lucky.
Please look at their "positive reviews" closely - most of them were written at about the same time.
