My deposit was held for almost two years and returned as soon as my landlord had notified DPS that it was to be returned in full. All very simple and efficient. No complaints.

I shopped at the Holt shop this week and bought a really lovely roll neck sweater and a pashmina. The quality of both is excellent and the prices very fair. The atmosphere of the shop is always good and the staff very helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I wish more shops were like that.

My order of two nighties arrived within a few days and were beautifully soft and well-made. I have used Lands’ End many times before and will use them again. It is possible to buy cotton nighties more cheaply but not of the same quality so I consider them good value for the money.

Having bought a pair of Montane waterproof overtrousers for myself in Ambleside in May, I ordered a pair online for my son in Manchester to keep him dry on his walk to work. They arrived within a couple of days. Unfortunately, he wasn’t in when they were delivered so they were left at a nearby Co-op and he picked them up later. I can’t fault the service.

I had had trouble booking a smart meter installation online so sent a message to let Octopus know this. Chloe Neville replied, sending some dates and saying that she would book an appointment for me. I took the opportunity to raise another problem I had had concerning setting up an online direct debit. Chloe immediately got back to me, explaining why I had had the problem and sorting it for me. Well done, Octopus, for selecting and training your staff so well.

It was unfortunate that I discovered that my oil tank was well below a quarter full just before New Year. This not only meant that I had to pay around £50 for an urgent delivery but that New Year’s Day and the Monday Bank Holiday meant that the delivery was not made until 4th January. However, I was sent a text message on the 3rd letting me know that the delivery was to made the following day, which it was.

The order arrived quickly. The nightie is the softest cotton imaginable. Unfortunately, it looks nothing like the online photo. The photo appeared to be a white nightie with delicate flower sprigs. The nightie is actually a pale blue and white check background with a rather hideous flower design on. I can see why it was reduced but kept it purely for the softness of the cotton and the comfortable fit.

The best price for my dog’s medication that I could find online: cheaper than Amazon. It took about a week to arrive but I don’t expect next-day delivery from smaller companies. However, it still arrived before the expected date. Very satisfied.

I returned a pair of ‘Girfriend’ jeans to my Holt store, having bought them online. The jeans looked great but were very big round the waist. I hadn’t realised that, as long as I had paid for the jeans with a credit card and not Paypal, I could return them to a store instead of by post. I was served in the Holt store by two very helpful and friendly young women who refunded the money from the jeans quickly and efficiently. It has encouraged me to risk buying more Fatface clothes online. Prior to this I had not ordered much online because I couldn’t be bothered to return stuff by post. Well done, Holt girls!

I use the Oil Club in North Norfolk and can’t think of a reason why you wouldn’t use it! The oil is delivered by the same companies that I used to order from - but is cheaper. Excellent service. Polite messages from Chris on the Web Support Team. Can’t fault it. Thank you!

My Farrow and Ball paint and roller arrived before the expected date, was exactly as ordered and came well-packaged. Can’t fault it.
