Do not trust! Scammers!

Do not trust! Scammers! This company is a rehash of Gainlier & they’re not to be trusted. If you order from this company, you will receive counterfeit goods & they will not reply to your return requests. I used Gainlier & they’re uncontactable. If you want confirmation of this company’s dodginess, try calling their number - 0808 502 2933, they will not answer. Their company address is listed as 12 High Street, Marlow, SL7 1AW which is a Superdrug store! AVOID!!

I’ve recently ordered twice from bikeparts.co.uk, both orders were well priced, correct & delivered swiftly. I shall continue to use this company as they’ve impressed me with their service. It’s great to find a company whose service is worth talking about.

A complete scam

A complete scam. Paid for an item which arrived & was counterfeit. Was assured a return would be easy but after several emails & attempted phone calls nothing. The email address then was unavailable. This “company” has an address of 221 Evering Road, London, E5 8AL & their “business number” is 07475 942850 if anyone feels the need to contact them in person. Terrible that these scammers can get away with this. Lesson learned.

PS - I received a full refund from Mastercard.

Terrible service, unreliable goods

I bought a built-in oven for my elderly mother which was installed in September 2024. This oven stopped working in July of this year (2025). Beko sent an engineer round as it was within warranty. The man was friendly but complained that Beko & Hotpoint are now the same company & he doesn’t know how they work now. Despite this he ordered a new part for the oven. I waited a fortnight for the part which was out of stock but it didn’t come into stock. So I phoned Beko for an update & was told the part wouldn’t be in stock until September so they’d replace the oven. Two further phone calls & promises & nothing more has happened. I’m still waiting for this to be resolved whilst my 85-year-old mother is living from a microwave. I’m staggered by the lack of urgency & general incompetency of this company. I was warned not to buy a Beko product prior to this, I wish I’d taken the advice. Never again.

Awful.

I accidentally ordered the wrong size item. Delivery charge was £6.99, the item took two weeks to be delivered. Tradeinn charged me £11.99 to return it. I’m sure they’ll say the extra £5 is a “handling charge” but we all know this is profiteering. Appalling rip off & I will not use this company again. You live & learn.

The return policy you agreed to at the time of purchase clearly states that, in the case of a voluntary return, shipping costs are the customer's responsibility. Return shipping costs will be our responsibility if the product is actually damaged/defective or the item is incorrect.

Completely biased views, not for me.

Unfortunately I found the articles to be very “left-leaning”. I was looking for an unbiased paper, without any political affiliation, but alas found The Guardian to be far from this. As a British person I found this paper to be about as un-British as it could be & therefore ended up doubting their articles. I was also put off with the paper’s biased views on other journalists, they seem to think that other publications are lying which is a little “off” shall we say.

Review of The Strap Tailor

Disappointing

On May 27th I ordered a “made to order” strap from The Strap Tailor & was told, as it was made to order, it would take between 20-25 working days to be delivered. The strap arrived today - 2nd July - & was the wrong strap. This was really disappointing. On their behalf they did give me a partial refund after they’d had a sale & a full refund immediately after I’d told them about the incorrect item being sent. I was also offered a replacement as a priority which I refused. I really wanted this to go well but it was all a bit rubbish really.

PS - I do appreciate your apology. Just a further note, if it was a packing error surely you still have the original strap I ordered? Or did this go out to someone else?

Terrible

Terrible. My mother's premium went up almost 100% in one year. when I tried to phone to cancel I was waiting on the phone (the only way to cancel a policy) for over 20 minutes. I will never use this company again.

Despite A Choice's reply, they've always had me waiting ages for someone to deal with, every single time. It's all lip service I'm afraid.

PS - I see you’ve used the old “high volume of calls” excuse. Employ more staff?

A simply awful experience

A simply awful experience. I was sold a defective air conditioner, customer services made it so difficult to return the item I eventually gave up. I will never use this company again.

Further to the comments below from Appliances Direct, unfortunately apologies don't make the situation better, they're simply a throwaway comment to make the company appear caring. Terrible service.

Exactly as other people have said, two week deliveries. Despite myself pre-ordering & the order being sent on a "Royal Mail 48 hour", this is just a ridiculous delivery time. I feel completely mislead by the company. Avoid at all costs.
