3 very poor roses arrived upside down…

3 very poor roses arrived upside down in a large cardboard box with barely any packaging. The box was clearly marked this way up and lack of packaging meant that all 3 roses were in a heap in the bottom of the box. The plants themselves have been heavily cut back, with large graft unions covered in moss suggesting they have been hanging around in their pots for more than a season. Having also purchased plants from Larch Cottage, Peter Beales and David Austin in the last few weeks, I can say with certainty that Harkness roses fall well below standard and I will not be shopping with them again. Disappointing doesn’t sum them up!

Paying hire charge for someone else to collect on your behalf - fotget it this company doesn't allow that

Having wrestled the ordering system into submission I finally pressed pay and got email confirmation back swiftly. All good - NO!!! I had carefully completed the order with myself as payee and my contractor's address and details for collection. No good!! I have to collect it myself. I cancelled the order immediately. I'm told on phone will take 5 days. I can't be the only private customer trying to get work done by contractors who need kit hiring on their behalf. Sort the website out Brandon so at least we don't spend an hour wasting our time working out your 'rules' and you have the pleasure of my money in your bank account for a week!

Great electric roller blinds

Thank you for my electric roller blinds for large patio doors - they are great - it took a while to get there with the longer than usual cassette which wasn't covered on the MeasureSafe Claim, but they look so good we can overlook although it would be good to make that more obvious online.

They did arrive on time BUT …..

They did arrive on time but the quality of some of the plants I received was awful. I also ordered 2 different varieties of Crocosmia and 2 pots arrived without labels.Definitely don’t think I shall be buying from RHS again - think they would know better than to send out this sort of quality

This is a great company

This is a great company - I bought several Helianthemum by mail order- the plants all arrived beautifully packed in their pots with cardboard cups to protect the tops. All so carefully done the whole package exuded the sense of love and care this nursery has for both its plants and its customers. I got the plants out as soon as they arrived and within a couple of days are already looking twice the size! Thank you Ice Alpines!

Beautiful blinds - very well made

All the blinds I have received from this company are beautifully made. They send out their samples really quickly and its well worth getting them to judge the various fabrics. I did have some worry because I was on holiday when I was notified that they would be delivered - and there was not much they could do to stop them coming. In the end, after quite a lot of hassle I managed to get their courier (UPS) to put them on hold until I returned from holiday. Meanwhile I kept getting spurious emails from blind 2 go saying they were trying to deliver them each day! Now they are here and up, I can't tell you how pleased I am with them. I am now trying to sort of the return of 2 blinds covered by their mis-measurement insurance and am waiting to hear back.

Excellent Customer Service

This company has truly excellent customer services, but in my case they were initially let down by their delivery company who left the box on my doorstep on a terrace street with plenty of footfall - not surprisingly the parcel disappeared, but Ironmongery Direct were most apologetic and replaced it without any fuss using a different parcel service. Fantastic! an

This company may be OK and does deliver…

This company may be OK and does deliver the stuff. But that is where anything positive ends. I made several consectutive orders for separate projects. Mostly the stuff was dumped on the pavement without any forwarning of day or time of arrival. On one occassion I was working away and had to race 150 miles to get a package worth over £1200 off a busy pavement outside my terraced house. BUT thats not the worst of it - try sending anything back - the customer service is virtually non existent and impossible to contact by phone. Even worse if the return items are very large like a shower door - I received an automated email telling me to pop it in the post. When I pointed out that it needed to be returned on a pallet I (eventually) received an email from Anna telling me to sort it out myself. My conclusion is -NEVER EVER BUY ANYTHING THAT MIGHT NEED TO BE RETURNED ON A PALLET FROM VICTORIAN PLUMBING - I've spent literally hours trying to sort this out without any success whatso ever.
Very disappointed in your customer service
