Review of TravelStaytion
Despite being on the edge of the gentrified section (Av. B between C. 11 and 12 Este), it is only a few short blocks from the main areas of Casco Viejo.
The apartments facing the street are labelled 1A, 2A, etc., while those at the back are 1B, 2B, etc. The studio units are spacious and have a full kitchen, shower, and bed. I find them the best value for the money at Casco Viejo.
However, as with everything at Casco Viejo, parking is a challenge. There is a dance club next door and another one across it, so it isn't quiet. Additionally, the neighbours at the back were partying until 7 am. The hosts provided earplugs, but it was still difficult to ignore the noise.

Review of Airpaz
If you search for tickets using Google Flights, it lists Airpaz as one of the "recommended" providers, usually with the lowest price. If you try to book your ticket with the airline directly (e.g., Air Asia), you'll see several Google paid ads by Airpaz that overwhelm the search results to give them an air of legitimacy.
If you book with them, they will take your credit card details and send you a one-time password (OTP). So, from a technical perspective, everything seems wired together correctly (airline reservation system, credit card processing, etc.). However, after they charge your credit card, you will receive an email ten minutes later indicating, "We would like to extend our sincerest apology for this inconvenience that happened to you." and " We are now processing your refund. Don't worry, we will process your refund as soon as possible." Ultimately, you'll have no ticket, and they have your money.
I'm amazed at how they can continue to operate. Google and credit card processors must shut them down, but good luck in chasing Google, your bank, and their banks to make it happen. Likewise, the airlines cannot control them because, with a bit of IT knowledge, it's not difficult to integrate with flight information systems.
Review of One Perfect Stay
We stayed at one of their properties at Dubai Marina for two weeks. We arrived late at night and discovered some maintenance issues and missing kitchen essentials. They sent a crew first thing the next morning to resolve our concerns. We truly appreciate their responsiveness.
The unit itself has a magnificent full Marina view. We savored our meals in the balcony and enjoyed daily walks along the marina. There is a gym and a swimming pool. The metro, taxis, groceries, and restaurants are nearby. The beach is about a 20-minute walk. We'll definitely come back.

Review of World Nomads
I have used World Nomads several times, including a one-year trip worldwide. Unfortunately, we had to make claims for medical treatments and stolen items, which they promptly processed.

Review of VFS Global
When I arrived, I waited for a bit, and then a representative processed my visa application. The process was fairly straightforward and automated. You can do everything online before your appointment. The only caveat was the photo ID service. I paid for it, but it was not available on site. Although I was informed the day before, it was a bit of an inconvenience.

Review of Homelike
I found it very difficult to find and rent an apartment in Paris. Oftentimes, you will not get a response, or they will decline your requests. Homelike was very responsive, and I was able to pay the rent and finalize the contract online.
Review of Lingoda
I like the structure of the program and the convenience of booking classes ahead of time. I get to meet different teachers and students, so it's great for hearing different French accents and fluency levels. However, I find that the materials are a bit long. I have yet to attend a class where we finished the entire slide deck. Perhaps shorten them to about 20-25 instead of 30-40 pages.
Review of SEOPROHUB
We initially contacted SEO ProHub around February 2020. Sometime in May, we engaged them to perform a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for our website. After a series of phone calls and email exchanges for about a month, we came to the conclusion that they cannot deliver the services that we paid for.
We called our sales representative to express our dissatisfaction and he promised to speak to his superior to get it resolved. Nothing happened so we sent a follow-up email two days later. No response still, so we sent another follow-up email one week later requesting a full refund.
Few days later, the SEO specialist that was assigned to our project reached out to us via email. He obviously wasn’t briefed by his own sales representative that we cancelled this project.
We replied back via email with a detailed explanation why we cancelled the project and why we are requesting a full refund. He called us back begging to be given another chance. We said no. He promised to speak to his superior to get it resolved. We haven’t heard back.
So, we requested a chargeback from our credit card provider. Interestingly enough, you have 60 days to dispute a charge. Good thing that we did it just before the 60 days mark.
But, because SEO ProHub divided our payment into three transactions (one large amount and two micro transactions), the bank now requires us to write a formal letter. And they will only accept it via fax. So, I ended up going to a local branch to get them to fax it to their own dispute department. It can take up to 90 days to get this thing sorted out. What a pain!
Review of italki
I've been using italki for more than five years. I found a great language partner (French / Tagalog), stopped for several years and then I came back again to improve my French. So that I can focus on learning instead of teaching, I decided to get a one-on-one tutor and it has been great.
Review of Clients on Demand
I joined Clients on Demand (COD) to learn sales because I couldn’t break the $500K ceiling. Within 2.5 weeks, I recovered my investment almost 3x. A few months later, I was part of their Millionaire Alliance (MA). Even now, I still find it surreal to see people crush the $100K/month target.
So, I basically learned more than what I came in for—more than anyone can learn about building and scaling a business from the best MBA programs in the world. Along the way, I was supported by the most caring and world-class team that Russ has assembled.
The key takeaway for me is being “at peace” with incessant trials and tribulations that a typical entrepreneur face everyday such as creating a product, optimizing a marketing funnel, setting up the technology, hiring and firing enrollment coaches, dealing with Facebook ad rejections, managing growth, overcoming debilitating indecision, dismantling self-limiting beliefs, brushing aside self-doubts and more. To me, you can’t put a price tag on it.
