Horwich store

Horwich store. Staff never ring back when they say they will . Waited 9wks for carpet and the fitter told me that the striped carpet would look stupid on the stairs because we have 3 stairs that bend . He said they'd end up beening diaganol ( giving a zigzag effect). Rang store for advice was told they'd ring me back asap 5 hours later they rang , by then I had told the fitter to go to his next job . Another day arranged for fitting booked day of work . Day before fitter rang with excuses that he couldn't come but could do the day after, again I rang store to see if I could have another fitter , I told store that we had to book the day off and that I would be at work until 4 the next day . Had no response from them so my husband rang and was told that I agreed with the fitter that he could come between 3.30 and 4.30 Don't think so I only finish work at 4 , then I've got to travel back !!!! DEFINITELY NOT GOING TO USE SCS AGAIN AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. No compensation or discount been offered at all not even had an apology. Carpet didn't get fitted on the Friday at 4.30 , the fitter rang at 3.45 saying that he didn't want to fit the carpet at that time, because it'd mean he would not get home until after 6 pm, ( I had to finish work early to make sure I was home !!) . The carpet fitter rang me on the next day to arrange fitting , only when he turned up it was the wrong colour carpet !!!. So still no carpet ! Rang scs and they blamed the fitter, told scs that I wanted a full refund spoke to the manager who said that he would sort it. Over a week later NO REFUND went to see scs only they thought that the carpet was fitted , the manager hadn't filled in any paperwork to say it hadn't been done or that I wanted a refund . STILL NO APPOLOGY OR OFFER OF COMPENSATION ( for lost of earnings ) they now say carpet will be fitted weds 26th !!! We'll see .

Really sorry to hear of the issues you had regarding the fitting of your carpet and that the store wasn't as responsive as they should have been given the situation.

We're going to pass your review onto the regional manager for the Bolton store as well as the Head Office flooring department to deal with internally.

Can see that your fitting has been re-booked for tomorrow (7th June) after 4.30pm to coincide with your work schedule. We trust that once this has been completed the work will be up to the high standard we expect from out pre-approved fitters and you will be pleased with your new hallway.

Sincere apologies for the time it has taken to get to this point, and please be assured your review will be seen by senior management within the respective departments.
