Disappointing service
I ordered a number of dresses from Debenhams which included some from their concession partners. One of the dresses had a button missing. I ended up returning all items. The returns process was cumbersome because items need to be returned to individual retailers rather than to Debenhams. The website asks customers to report faulty goods to Debenhams, which I did by email, but never received a reply. I ended up returning the item without acknowledgement from customer services as I was concerned about missing the returns window. The refunds process is chaotic. I received emails telling me that 2 of 4 refunds were being processed. Days passed but no refunds were received. I heard nothing about my other 2 refunds. In the absence of a customer service phone contact I opted for a WhatsApp chat. To be fair, my message was answered quickly and I was assured that the refunds were being processed. Shortly after this exchange I did receive all 4 refunds due to me. I am, of course, pleased with the outcome but I should not have had to chase. As a result of my experience, regrettably, I am unlikely to place any online orders with Debenhams in the future.
