Review of Red Letter Days
I was given an experience for Xmas. This was a meal and a trip on the London Eye. I went online to book the London Eye experience and was surprised to see that my preferred date required me to pay an upgrade fee. I then checked date availability until the end of the year and all dates required an upgrade.
When I eventually found how to contact Red Letter Day they explained tickets are all sold with limited availability. I asked for a refund as I feel this is unacceptable that not a single day from March through to November has standard entrance therefore not requiring an upgrade fee. Firstly I was offered an extension which I refused, I was then offered a 15% credit against another experience to which I politely declined. I asked that I wanted to escalate which finally saw the colleague on the live chat give me a form to complete and explained I might not get much response as back office is busy.
Five days later I get a response from a Team Leader stating that tickets are sold with limited availability. I asked if he could demonstrate when there was availability this year for standard tickets which he responded he couldn’t due to Data Protection.
How can a company promote something like this which suggests that there is limited availability but not have to prove it? If I want to take this experience I now need to pay an upgrade fee.
I certainly won’t be using Red Letter Days again and wouldn’t be recommending them.

Really poor experience with BG. I booked a day at home for my boiler service, this was due to take place between 8am and 1pm. At 1pm I logged on to the website to see that the appointment had been changed to 12pm to 6pm on that day. I rechecked at 4pm to see where the engineer was and subsequently received an email informing me that my appointment had been moved to the 6th of December. I understand that a boiler breakdown is priority however a courtesy call costs you nothing, poor.
