Silly requests from the company for receipts and photographs

Living in the wide open countryside there is no protection against heavy storms Treasured possessions were scattered over fields A collection of over 700 LP record albums a lot of which were autographed by singers that are long deceased. Articles that inherited from parents and gt grand parents now destroyed and lost forever to our great grand children The out building was used for storage of treasured articles Having collected these records from the 50's, 60's, and 70's, 80's I wonder how many people would have receipts for each album. Most of the records would still be be good enough to play, the important bit is the autographed covers being water logged are now worthless. The company wanted receipts and photographs of the materials that were distributed around the countryside never to be seen again.
The claim in regard to the building was satisfactory and I have no complaint about that part

Good afternoon,
I am sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the claim's outcome.

I have taken a look at your claim and I can see that we had offered you a full settlement for the buildings damage in order for you to proceed with the repair. It appears we were unable to assist you with the contents side of the claim. I can see that you have advised there were various records, autographs, and other items, when we asked you to provide evidence of these items, this could be in a form of photos of the items (prior to incident) or receipts, you were unable to provide us with any evidence for proof of ownership.

On page 14 of your policy wordings, it lays out the claims procedure and conditions, within this, it states that we will request evidence of ownership.

I understand this to be upsetting, however, we must ensure we act in line with the policy that was purchased.
