What are instructions for??

I asked for my parcel to be left in a secure place. With instructions to leave it behind my gate. It was left on my doorstep

Lost parcel

My parcel was supposedly left in a secure place. Which on fact it was left on my doorstep. On returning home my parcel had been taken.
