THEY DO NOT CARE
Another company with money signs as their main focus and zero accountability or compassion towards people who spend their hard earned money on their appliances, we spent a lot on our ikea kitchen because of the carpentry involved and we had previously had an ikea kitchen in our last home , after just under 6 years our oven stopped working and I rang ikea up to ask if I paid would they install another one ,the ikea advisor ( to her credit) was not impressed our oven had clapped out and told us to ring hotpoint because she advised they would help, oh bless ikea lady how wrong you were. My husband dealt with hotpoint ( when he could get hold of them) and the outcome was ‘ if hubby spent £187 on insurance’ hot point would tootle to our home and replace the non working elements of our oven , or replace it if it couldn’t be done , an engineer ( subcontractors) was sent out where he ordered a new back electric panel , obviously there was an issue ordering the part ( course there was) but 2 weeks later the engineer attended his appointment and fitted the panel , our oven sprang into life ( I punched the air, no more microwave meals and toast) but alas my celebration was short lived as the electrical panel showed an error code which left the engineer horrified ( no doubt engineering of this level doesn’t include error codes sadly) ‘ il have to order a new panel and maybe that will work ‘ to be fair to him he didn’t look hopeful and told us to ring hotpoint as he was ‘ just subcontracted’, anyhoo we are currently on 2 MONTHS , yep EIGHT WEEKS , without an oven and the engineer has FAILED TO TURN UP THREE WEEKS IN A ROW , apparently missing yesterdays appointment because ‘ he was busy ‘ ( probably trying to fathom someone else’s oven code ) you cannot get through to hotpoint , they communicate via email, hubby has wasted 3 valuable holiday days waiting in for this muppet of a company to send someone round , we are having to deal with Domestic and general ( took the policy for hotpoint) to get any answers , although we have received a lovely letter from D & G saying our issue has been resolved so someone is lying somewhere ( like an episode of the traitors ) I believe we are being fobbed off until the 3rd month where they will simply say ‘ we can’t fix it ‘ this negates an engineer willing to physically write our oven off , this preventing us a new replacement, PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THIS , THIS IS NOT A HERO COMPANY, THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU , THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU, I will update our final situation, I will await the obligatory response from hotpoint probably a little button pushed by a stock room attendant, of contacting them via WhatsApp proving they haven’t read this review at all 😀
IN RESPONSE TO YOUR REPLY , I HAVE USED WHATSAPP AS YOUR PHONES ARE USELESS, AND HAVE NO RESPONSE TO MY INTIAL MESSAGE, WHAT IS THE POINT ? APPARENTLY OUR ENGINEER IS OFF SICK SO OUR OVEN PART IS SAT IN YOUR BUILDING, DONT YOU HAVE MORE THAN ONE ENGINEER ? WHY ADVISE I CONTACT YOU IF YOU DONT REPLY, SOMEONE MUST LOOK INTO YOUR COMPANY, I WILL DO WHATEVER I CAN TO RAISE AWARENESS PUBLICLY TO HOW SHAMBOLIC YOUR COMPANY
