Note : I think that reviews should be requested at least after the policy has been running for the product category the acid test would be how they would handle any claims which I hope never comes to fruition

STOP USING SCOTTISH POWER TILL THEY ACCEPT MISSELLING AND BULLY TACTICS. HURT THEM IN THEIR POCKETS ADVISE ALL YOUR CONTACTS TO AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I finally got the voice recording of call from April. That paragons of virtue the Ombudsman upheld complaint but did not feel the individual from Retentions missold my policy!!! Seriously are they asking any reasonable individual to believe that a Retentions Agent whose opening gambit was to say she was Retentions and wanted to keep my business would not say or do anything to ensure I didn't leave. A paltry £80 fine a letter of apology what deterrent is that? Over 6K negative reviews Watchdog calling them out but the conclusion was some gaps in customer service but no misselling. I would love to post that Call online and show the lengths this morally bankrupt system operates
Shameful. I hope that no one signs up to Scottish Power and their Chief Exec and the vindictive Agents who lied and cheated for over 8 months get their just desserts if Karma is anything to go by . Thanks for the posting of some of the horror stories otherwise I was starting to believe I was overreacting

SCOTTISH POWER STILL THE WORST COMPANY IN EXISTENCE

True to form Scottish Power have failed again to communicate basic information . The worst energy company in the planet and thank God I have moved to Temporary Accommodation and have no responsibility for Energy !!! I have had a long running saga which I dont have the energy and inclination to repeat. Despite a cast of Thousands simple information promised that had been updated and assured " yes sir its definitely on the system" Ridiculous how this company continues to trade is beyond me. They should start at the top and strip everyone of their titles starting with CEO who made assurances on BBC TV that he would sort out the issues and thousands of complaints from people highlighted on Watchdog. Shameful. People who cause stress to individuals by not doing their jobs and vindicatively omitt information because we have the audacity to complain. I bet no one who works at Scottish Power would put up with the service levels me and thousands have had to endure simply awful.
I sold my property a very stressful time and was assured my final date with this shambles of a company had details of 27th Move Out date. Automated systems dont work and no communication from anyone to confirm protocol not a peep. The worst Customer Service and After Sales Service in fact Mr Bean could run this business if they trained and hired competent people and ensured they did their jobs. The UK economy is almost bankrupt and Scottish Power had better shape up in my view . I am not over the line yet from the saga that started in April
and almost 8 months of torture and me having to chase so called professionals

I had a very positive call from Sophie…

I had a very positive call from Sophie at Eon who was very helpful and a new process long overdue and maybe Scottish Power should take a leaf out of EONs book. EON made mistakes and didn't communicate and exacerbated a switch from Scottish Power. Scottish Power had wilfully blocked my Electricity switch and the only mistake EON made was changing my Gas supply and not telling me the issues . That was a major black mark however Scottish Power are the antagonists . Sophie has ensured that when I leave on 27th November she will follow up and call me to make sure that the everything has been handled. As I said this is not rocket science and a simple process of communication would minimise bad reviews , angst and anger . The issue is these Agents have no emotional intelligence they have no idea how stressful running a home on a budget and how important it is to have accurate information and a trusted supplier the last thing we need as consumers is hassle. We shall see of EON have learned and put robust measures in place to resolve complaints . Thats all we ask instead of the snowflakes at Scottish Power and Ombudsman who think that complaints are not allowed. Sophie has taken a complaint and satisfied me . Leanne Knowles at Omdbudsman and the cast of thousands at Scottish Power maybe should learn from this young lady. However I have given 5 stars because of outstanding service ny Houman. The agent not only went above and beyond he got cut off and called me back immediately . He was so empathetic to my plight and on several occasions expressed that and didn't want to add to stress that Scottish Power and other agents had caused. Scottish Power on many occasions hung up and didn't bother to call back. The amount of Agents at Scottish Power who didn't leave notes. Well done Houman EON are not perfect however at least you did your professional best ans maybe pthe energy companies should look at the people they hire and train them to appreciate complaints are not a personal attack on them and they should focus on doing their best to meet KPIs and deliver exceptional service. Thanks to Houman expecially and also to Sophie who I hope makes good her promise to call me on 30th November and ensure my supply has been ceased as per agreement. Thanks also for not charging a cancellation fee as I am not moving to a new property.

DISAPPOINTED DAD

Really disappointed I ordered Birthday Cupcames for my daughter on 19th October for delivery 22md October. I read the reviews and the girl who took my order was so helpful and thats as good as it gets !!. They have not contacted me their Customer Services at Bradfords have an automated message yet Website says they are open. This has spoiled a lovely birthday surprise and no communication which is infuriating. I understand issues with Covid-19 which is why I chose to send Cupcakes as not allowed to see my daughter . They should not be taking orders if they can't fulfil. Its not a lot of money but leaves a bad taste. The very least I would expect is an email of apology and explain what happened!!!!

Underwhelmed a label came off and refund in 3-4 days really stellar customer service!!!!!

I will never use Bradfords ever again pathetic not even a good will gesture of sending replacement cup cakes which at least would have shown they accept responsibility instead passing the buck to DPD .

Complicit in allowing energy companies…

Complicit in allowing energy companies in this instance Scottish Power to trade and cheat consumers. All started with lazy agent who found in my favour which was bot even a tickle on their wrist. Instead to doing diligence she tried to fob me off and I had Hobsons choice. How this agent can sleep being part of organised corruption when they should be investigating and putting Scottish Power and taking them to task for non compliance . I have an exhaustive list of calls and times which have not been updated on the system .... conveniently. ow the Ombudsman allow a compnay to carry out so many major non compliances and basic information and GDPR data without penalty. It seems this merits a £30 goodwill gesture. I'm sure the CEO of SP is shaking in his boots. Shameful negligence and a body that is supposed to be impartial. It is time that a comprehensive independent review of the practices of Ombudsman and Energy Companies. The consumer has a right to a fair and unbiased service after all as tax payers we are paying for a massive contribution towards their very existence not to mention the funding by energy companies akin to turkeys voting for Christmas.
I hope Watchdog keep pressure on Scottish Power and bin this kangaroo court of Ombudsman services. I am not the only one who has this view from the sheer volume of similar reviews.

Scottish Power the worst company in natural living history

Just when I thought I had reached rock bottom and plunged the depths . Scottish Power have driven another nail in my coffin. I have had a saga since April which started with misselling of Policy which Ombudsman who found in my favour and agreed they would waive early termination fees and also token £30. I didn't want this I wanted a copy of the call from a snake of girl in retentions team who promised me that she wanted to retain my business and reduce my tariff. It increased by 40% !!! 6 months later I have had to sell my property due to financial impact of Covid and now I find that I will be charged an exit fee and nothing on the system re the waiving of fees !!b How this company can still be allowed to trade with such despicable behaviour and corrupt practices. Their incompetence it seems has no bounds . They are hiding behind Covid and pouring more misery on misery and continue to lie and cheat their way out of responsibility . I spoke to a Agent ID X on Friday 5th of June who told me that the Retentions girl had followed correct procedure and she was satisfied and read the transcript of the call etc etc. Yet when I requested a copy of the call they didn't have record of it ... go figure shame on these individuals who are complicit in this corruption by taking bonuses and protecting colleagues backs from censure whilst my life has been made a sheer misery for wanting to move to another provider. Now I dont have another provider and sold my property and they want more money for an exit fee. These people have no shame or morals .
Scottish Power I don't know how you have managed to beat your incompetence and malpractice but congratulations youve one it. I am normally very persisitent but they really have ground my will down to a Nub. How Agent X and her friend she is protecting can sleep at night. I name and shame as they take no accountability for their actions and dont understand the word professionalism or customer service . If it was their money being " stolen" maybe then they would do their jobs ... Shameful
The basic maintenance of records on complaints are not adhered to which in this day and age how can they continue to be allowed to trade and make huge profits with no recourse or accountability


Further to this review I have posted a positive review of EON who have taken accountability for the issues caused by Agent X from Retentions who started this issue. Exacerbated by X at Ombudsman who on Scottish Powers say so tried to blame EON .Agent Y rather than verify the tissue of lies by Agent Z another Agent who told me she read the transcript and was satisfied!! Another lie and was more concerned about the fact I echoed my anger and frustration than treating me like a customer. As I said in my review of Ombudsman and Scottish Power dont have professionals who are offended by anger . I did not swear I just wanted my issue resolved. I didn't want money I just wanted acceptance that they missold me a policy overtly and take responsibility. Instead they wilfully ignored my requests denied a call even took place despite it being on their record that Agent X called me on 17 April from Retentions yet state they cannot find the call. XXXXXX and her manager the poor snowflakes who I dared to question competence now have stuck together rather than do their job and ask why Scottish Power could not supply the call. Instead they took Scottish Power version as gospel wow Scottish Power would never lie or cover their own back. So if XXXXX and her Manager honestly believe that they they are naive at best or simply not prepared to do the correct diligence. I have also received another email asking for payment it seems I have poked the bear. The CEO should be embarrassed and I have written to Watchdog to ask how they continue to trade and also what the Ombudsman do are they complicit in shoddy investigations and mouthpiece of Energy companies . Shameful and despicable.
I am still waiting for a call from X . X did you follow up and ask your Manager to call me .
Agent X hope you are proud of yourself working in Retentions and rue the day I made the decision to believe your lies .
I hope I have the energy to keep fighting these corrupt companies who don't bother training staff and hide behind Covid .
This is not personal this is my money and I expect at very least service commensurate with the hundreds of £ over 8 years I have overpaid using Scottish Power for so many years.
Maybe read the review of a young man called Houman at EON who has put all your Agents to shame as has Sophie they took ownership abridged list of some agents invol

The worst experience of my life

The worst experience of my life. I have an ongoing issue with Scottish Power who have caused me sever distress with blatant misselling which was the start of an even bigger nightmare. The Ombudsman service is supposed to be impartial and help however because of the sensibilities of one of their officers who objected to my ire they have used Derogatory Comments clause as a get out. I was very angry at the ineptitude of the officer who took Scottish Powers evidence at face value and despite numerous requests for copy of call by an unscrupulous Retentions Officer from Scottish Power have been left blocked by Scottish Power to move my energy to EON. EON where able to take over my Gas Service however as I am in dispute with Scottish Power I cannot get this resolved. The Ombudsman Service is clearly colluding with Energy Providers and not doing proper diligence and have told me they cannot force Scottish Power to supply Audio recording of the call . Firstly Scottish Power advised that they conveniently couldn't find the call !! Then the Ombudsman officer accepted the transcript without anyone listening or providing the call which has damning evidence of misselling. The Ombudsman does not want to dig deeper because the penalties for missellng is so punitive to Scottish Power and other energy providers they essentially have created a kangaroo court for mediation. I was offered £30 compensation which was not my aim . My objective was to vindicate the fact that Scottish Power of numerous occasions lied and still won't provide the audio file which was nor available then had been listened to and then more lies ans deceit. This service is verging on being corrupt and essentially all consumers have no rights when it comes to large organisation. Instead of regulating and ensuring transparency the Ombudsman Services to make their life easy and sit in an ivory tower being paid to spout whatever Scottish Power and similar companies tell them. I got a message when I asked to speak to this officers manager and surprise surprise she also found that there was no issues and that I had been Derogatory. How would they feel if their money and well being had been impacted by malpractice and dont have the means to sue Scottish Power for distress and shameful misselling. Therefore the Ombudsman services has become complicit in these practices and try and pass off shoddy investigations as doing their job. I can only guess these Officers are lazy , sloppy and benign. Therfore it begs the question why they exist. It would be better for all consumers to waive our rights and just succumb to the awful service Scottish Power and other energy companies resort to and now they use Covid-19 as a smokescreen. Shameful practice and I am not alone is complaints about Scottish Power as was highlighted in BBC Watchdog show . My only request which is my statutory right is to have a copy of the audio file which Ombudsman is unable to request despite it being my statutory right. Scottish Power is unwilling to provide which if their investigation and the investigation by Ombudsman Officer has been exhaustive there would be no rationale for providing a perfectly reasonable request. The net result all the deceit and deflection of course made me angry. It is my statutory right to request this and I never swore or got abusive I merely had the audacity to question the competence of the person after so much frustration. Apologies for my rant and brings me back to the original point what use does the Ombudsman Service serve when there is even a hint of malpractice they can allow in this case Scottish Power to give a version of events which suits their agenda. If an Ombudsman service is to work then it has to have unfettered access to information on request. If I had received my audio file back in April when requested in excess of 30 times in email, calls and via Revolver then I would have been able to make a value judgement and move on . Now the Ombudsman have stopped by their actions any dialogue with Scottish Power and I am in limbo. The Ombudsman officers are covering their backs and Scottish Power the same . If I had the means to take themis further I would love to see these individuals face to face in court and for them to explain under oath their actions. Only by these companies taking some accountability and having integrity will it be a deterrent for Scottish Power. The officer had the audacity to say that she found in my favour!! I wanted a copy of the Audio Files and for definitive proof this Retentions Agent who called me on the 17th April to be held to account for misselling which I am convinced was premeditated tactic by Scottish Power to retain customers at whatever cost.

Don't consider using Scottish Power

Don't consider using Scottish Power. I tried to leave and join another provider in April and despite escalating to Ombudsman and over 30 calls and months of sheer stress I am still no further forward. I have successfully moved my Gas to EON . Scottish Power are maliciously blocking my move to EON for Electricity. This during a Pandemic is shameful . I am selling my property and want to get out of this nightmare

The worst company ever

The worst company ever . They are charlatans and are either very devious or simply incompetent. I have an ongoing 6 month nightmare and was subjected to a Retentions scam which has cost me money and still cannot switch my Electricity after over 30 plus calls and stressful discussions. Not one individual.has been able to allow my new provider the access to take over my Electricity. This all emanates from me leaving and going to Bulb and then I was promised the earth by an unscrupulous Retentions Agent and my nightmare started. I was just watching the One Show Watchdog and makes me feel somewhat relieved that I was starting to question my sanity. Its seems that Scottish Power are continually in the bottom re Customer Service for 4 years and even fined £18M a few years ago. They should be closed down and its time these companies punished even more severely as they have no deterrent to improve. The cheek and attitude of their Agents frankly is unbelievable and the blatant lies when I complained to the Ombudsman who also were ineffectual and toothless . I asked the Ombudsmen Investigator and she Upheld my complaint however did nothing to censure or get to the bottom of the issue even excusing Scottish Power and stating categorically they they hadn't blocked my move to new provider. I called again today to get this resolved and was told by another incompetent Agenf that they had blocked my move as I hadn't paid my bill and they started a new Tariff on 11th September despite all the promises and complaints where I could leave without Penalty . They are still blocking my new supplier who have taken over my Gas from Scottish Power. Coincidentally my Electricity is the most lucrative no surprise !!!
I requested a copy of the Audio Call from the Retentions Agent on 17 April which mysteriously could not be found!!! The Ombudsman Investigator took the Scottish Power transcripts as gospel rather than insist on hearing the tape which I was assured was available. Its bordering on corruption and how many other ordinary consumers also being treated shamefully and all during the Covid19 crisis.
The saga continues and urge anyone considering using Scottish Power DO NOT USE . In fact I would like to expose this company ans campaign for them to be held to account they just glibly apologise and promise to improve but they don't. They have Agents who just dont care and take ownership its really pathetic.

This company is one of the most…

This company is one of the most unprofessional companies I have ever come across . They take money from Owners and Tenants under pretext of doing professional service. Unfortunately we are stuck with them as had no choice, inherited them when moved into the property. They have on numerous occasions communicated conflicting information and used Covid-19 as the excuse for not carrying out basic services and diligence. They are motivated purely by extracting as much money as possible for the least effort. Shame on them and avoid if you are looking to engage their unprofessional services. On several occasions fellow neighbours have reported issues and denied all knowledge of been contacted. Fortunately I have only had to endure them for 18 months and was warned by other neighbours of how bad they are. Regrettably my neighbours opinion have been vindicated. I cannot believe company’s of this nature are allowed to trade in such a manner and will be investigating who to contact from an audit perspective as the service levels are not commensurate with monies they receive.

Fantastic Service from the moment I…

Fantastic Service from the moment I stepped in. A pleasant change from High St and Outlet Stores where a large amount Staff don't have any knowledge or care about the products being sold .
I was referred to Achilles Heel and they didn't disappoint . The lady who attended to me and apologies for not getting her name was brilliant. The result I am 100% satisfied with my purchase and well worth the price I paid. I would highly recommend Achilles Heel to anyone especially if like me a novice to running.
