Review of Experian

Utterly appalling

Utterly appalling. This firm, once you register illegally hold your data, despite my official request for them to remove it. Their website is so bad, it is designed to ensure you just give up, as your data is valuable to them. Their scores are utter nonsense. Even the feedback form link didn't work, once passed to a higher internal member of the complaints division. Avoid using this company like the plague.

Thats it Julie. Ignore everything else I said at the start. The illegal handling of data, despite my requests to have this removed. Your appalling website. The link that doesnt work. But you carry on justifying a nonsense score, so everyone can read.

Thank you for sharing your experience. The credit score you see and the one your lender uses may be different for several reasons.

To start, it's important to understand that credit scores are based on the information found in credit reports maintained by the three major credit bureaus. If those reports differ, a credit score based on one report may not be identical to a score based on another.

Another reason the scores differ might be because there's more than one credit scoring model, and there's no guarantee the one you're using to check your own credit is the same one your lender relies on. Plus, each model regularly releases updated versions of the scores it produces—and there are score versions that are specific to certain industries. We are using the FICO8 Scoring model.
