New Heki 4 remote

The new remote works so much better than the one it replaces ever did. I placed the order on a Sunday and the remote arrived the following Friday.
One minor quibble was tha tthe packaging instructions said there was no need to pair, but there was and the instructions on the web site worked perfectly.
And given the "genuine" part costs over £200...

Complaint Regarding Order #521743

I ordered an original remote control for a Dyson Pure Cool Me. The product is apparently on backorder, and I was informed that the payment would only be reserved. However, the money has in fact been withdrawn from my account, no remote control has been shipped, and therefore no item has been received.

How can you justify charging me for a product that has neither been dispatched nor is currently in stock?

It is correct that you ordered an original remote control, but it was already out of stock when you placed your order, and this information was clearly indicated on the product page (it still is).

Once you placed your order, we sent you an email to remind you that the product was out of stock and to let you know the estimated restocking date. We also offered you an alternative compatible remote control that was in stock and could be shipped immediately. As this alternative solution was cheaper, we of course offered to refund you the difference in price.

You replied that you were only interested in the original solution and nothing else.

Since then, we have not heard from you. There is no problem if you have changed your mind and wish to cancel the order for a refund, but as you did not inform us, we were unable to proceed in this manner.

A few moments ago, we sent you another email to offer you other solutions and ask you how you would like us to proceed with your order.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Remote control quickly updated on request

I needed a replacement remote control for my not-so-common DAT recorder. One special, not often used command wasn’t available on any vendor’s replacement control, including Remote Control World’s.
After consulting the firm, they recommended placing an order and promised to take care of the right modification/extension.
Today, only one week later, I received my new remote control, *with* the special function and *with* a correctly labeled key!
Just as promised: exceptional service!
Both communication and “making things happen” attitude are outstanding. Neither are self-evident these days.
Yes, I am very enthusiastic about my experience and wholeheartedly recommend this firm.

Substitution of broken remote control

I've let slip the remote control of my Leema amplifier so it hit the ground and was non-functional afterwards. After unsuccessfully trying to contact Leema I fortunately found this company (VAT) on the web. They were really helpful in solving my particular problem, which involved some e-mail traffic and even sending in my broken gadget without additional charge. It took a while until I finally got my functioning universal remote control, but the important thing was the clear communication and successful solution.

Technics remote

Received my remote this morning. Already to go straight out of the box, battery in place.
Wondered where I would be able to find a remote control for my vintage Technics cassette player, well these are the people to go to.
Quickly answered my email inquiry to which model I would need. I ordered and paid and delivery was just on a week, including a weekend. Price including postage was very fair.
All major functions are covered and an A4 manual is included to show which button is which.

Wrong product sent, had to ask multiple times for my money back

I purchased a NAD HTR8 remote control. Unfortunately, what was actually shipped was a different model, the HTR2.

The product page does say in the small print 'This remote control has been replaced by fully compatible original genuine HTR2 remote control', but nevertheless, they are not the same product and it is wrong to advertise one product for sale but ship a different one.

To make matters worse, the remote's learning function didn't work. Given how light the remote control was, I suspect it was counterfeit.

It took multiple emails to get a response, but I was eventually offered a refund, so I shipped the product back using a tracking number. When I got the refund however, it was not for the full amount. To be fair, when I complained, they did eventually give me the rest of the money back.

I would avoid this vender. I can see from the reviews that a lot of people do okay using them, but my experience is that they will try to get away with not being honest unless you really stay on top of them.

Regarding the refund – as soon as we were informed that you did not receive the full amount, we immediately corrected it and sent the rest without delay. We always aim to resolve any issues fairly and as quickly as possible.

Excellent from Start to Finish

Im always wary about buying something from a company I do not know anything about. I also was wary about whether the product would work. I needed a voice controller for my Sony TV. It never came with one and Sony prices are silly! This seemed, if it would work, to be a solution.
Anyway, plucked up the courage to buy it. Very swift delivery and notified at all times of what was happening with the order and delivery.
Remote arrived, switched on my TV and activated the remote. They talked to each other straight away and it works perfectly!
So, the whole process was top drawer, and the remote works great. Recommended.

Excellent buying experience

I am so impressed with this company I would give more than 5 Stars if it was possible! My first request for help was answered quickly, efficiently and in a friendly way. I was given confidence in selecting the correct model which was despatched and delivered speedily and I was helped in pairing the new remote with my old roller shutters. An excellent all-round service from beginning to end. Negative ethos

Although I submitted details of my amp, the remote I ordered was not compatible. Response to some of my emails took up to 10 days. I was expected to pay for return postage, which would have left me with a balance of about £3/4 in credit. As I'm based in the UK, next time It would be logical to use a UK website.

However, it is not true that you have lost any money. You were supplied with a non-functioning product and if you had returned the remote control, we would have paid all costs (including return shipping). We value our customers and in cases where the fault is on our side (which can happen sometimes, as we are also only human), we always cover all costs.

We also have a new solution that has been suggested to you via email and we hope to hear from you.

Absolute scam

Absolute scam. Avoid this place. I made an order of a remote control that didn't work with the system it was suposed to work. I asked for a refund (which is mandatory in the EU for the first 30 days) and so I had to resend the item back to their store (having to pay for the package). I contacted them several times before the 30 days period expired to get my money back but they insisted the remote did not get to them so delated the process. Now those 30 days have expired, my refund is nowhere to be found and I will have to ask Paypal tomediate a solution. Avoid this place at all cost.

We are sorry to hear about your negative review, however, to be honest, we do not know what we did wrong and what led you to write such a negative review.

On June 11, you contacted us via our online chat, saying that the remote control you received did not work with your device and you wanted to return it. Since we offer hassle-free returns, we immediately provided you with instructions on how to return the remote control and did not "bother" you with anything else.

On June 24, you used our online chat again and asked if we had received the package. We informed you that we had not received the package and asked you for the tracking number so that we could find out what might be causing the delivery problem. However, since you sent it without a tracking number, we could only wait for the package to be delivered—which has not happened yet.

Yesterday, July 18—on Friday evening—we received an email from you in which you called us fraudsters and threatened to post negative reviews on our social media. Despite this, we responded to the email politely and offered a possible solution to help you, even though the mistake was not on our part.

Please note that we receive hundreds of shipments every week (as we also offer repairs of customers' devices and remote controls) and we have no way of knowing what happened to certain shipments if they have not yet been delivered and were sent without tracking.

Though the mistake is not on our part we are still ready to help and hope hear back from you.
