Customer service is great. I have used e-mail and online chat for advice on what to order and the replacement remote control arrived swiftly. Unfortunately it wasn’t programmed as it should have been and as I was not willing to send the original remote control to help the technicians, as I have no faith in DHL, PostNL etc. there was understandably nothing they could do although they have tried to and have answered my many emails every time. I have received a full refund and should the original remote control stop working I will then send it with another order the same day! No hesitation. Also I thought the price of the replacement remote control was very good.

I have missed my NAD CD player remote for a very long time. My original remote packed up. When I discovered there is a real replacement available I made the purchase. I got good service at the purchase and the courier UPS was also reliable. It was wonderful to get the remote and check that it works well. Initially I thought the pause button may not work but checked later that the the play button is also a pause button when you press it again. The online chat support is very good and I’m off to happy music listening. The remote truest replicates all the original functions well. Greetings.

Remote Control World was the only company I could find that had compatible remotes for my fans. On both occasions the service has been excellent. In my most recent experience the original delivery failed (the delivery company couldn't find my address) and the item was returned to sender. This was no problem for Remote Control World. To resolve the problem I had an online chat with one of their representatives, purchased another remote which, at their suggestion I had delivered to a local pick up point, with a promise of a refund on the original order. I received the second delivery with no problem and today, after another chat, I confirmed delivery and that the remote was working (they asked about that in the chat) and received an instant refund to my PayPal account while the chat was ongoing. As I said, excellent service. I would highly recommend them.

I was surprised by your review, so I wanted to clarify a few points.
Our support team exchanged three emails with you between September 20 and 24, trying to help you get your Hörmann gate remote working. Their mistake was not giving you the return address immediately – they assumed, as most customers do, that you wanted assistance with pairing and setup rather than an immediate return.
Please note: the return address is always visible on our website in several places, in our terms & conditions, and even directly under each product (30-day return policy). For your ordered product, it is clearly written here:

You always have the right to return a product within 30 days for a full refund including shipping – no reason needed.
Helena from support only tried to save you the trouble of returning the product by helping you get it working. This is our main goal: to make sure every customer ends up with a fully functional remote. In fact, we resolve about 90% of cases this way with just a little cooperation and patience.
The 48-hour delay in her second reply was because she consulted our specialist: your setup is unusual (a Marantz control unit with a Hörmann gate), and Hörmann itself uses multiple coding systems (433 MHz, 868 MHz, 40.686 MHz). They wanted to check which exact model you needed, since the one you ordered is not compatible with your gate.
If you would like us to configure the correct remote, we only need to know which remote you used with your gate before (a photo would be best). If you don’t have the original remote, a photo of the Hörmann control board inside the housing would help. With that, we can even supply a single remote that controls both Hörmann and Marantz – but it has to be a different type than the one you ordered.
Of course, you can still return your current remote for a refund or exchange at any time. Since you already reported the issue, the 30-day return period is guaranteed even if you return it later. Just send the remote back with your order number, and we will either refund your payment or send you the correct model – whichever you prefer.

I ordered a remote that was supposed to be compatible, but was not. When I got in touch with the company and after they had looked into it, they offered me a 40% refund. I explained (for the third time) that the remote control was no good to me and did not work with my Onkyo stereo. I'm afraid they haven't been back in touch ( this was at least two weeks ago). Very poor customer service ( I'm not going to keep on chasing them) and an INCOMPATIBLE remote. I'm sure this review will be replied to with some other excuse.
Edit, With regards to the reply from the company,
As I have previously explained, the reason I purchased the remote was because the stereo can not be used correctly with a remote. So the fact that 95% of the function work is irrelevant. I needed the radio channel search to work, and it doesn't. So the remote is no go to me.
As I explained to the technician previously (which they seem to be ignoring) I haven't good the original remote.
The companies response has been very disappointing if not predictable.

Your case has since been escalated directly to me – I am an engineer specialized in radio and telecommunication technology and I personally deal only with the most complex cases. What makes our company unique is that I can do something no one else in the world can: even from a broken or damaged original remote, I can read the chip, extract the exact codes, and create a fully working copy. If we cannot solve it, then nobody else can.
If you still have your original Onkyo remote (working or not), please send it to me. I will repair it for free, copy its codes and provide you with a perfect replacement. If the original is no longer available, I can still analyze and deduce the missing codes from similar models – but this method is more time-consuming and less reliable.
