Stayed in the villa with 16 girls and it was absolutely perfect. Had just the right amount of space and more and it was in an amazing location. SO RELAXING. Everyone who worked for the company was also nice in providing us with recommendations insuring we had the best experience. I could not be more impressed and recommend this villa to everyone who comes across it!!

Management company unprofessional

We are a group of twelve professional women who have collectively traveled extensively to numerous high-end and luxury destinations around the world. While we secured the villa at a favorable rate as advertised at the time of booking, this should not be interpreted as an indication that we are low-budget clients. It is inappropriate and concerning to suggest that this justifies any deviation in the standard of service compared to that provided to high-season guests.

During our stay, a minor issue was escalated unnecessarily by a company representative, who made an unfounded accusation regarding smoking on the premises—an allegation that is entirely false, as no member of our group smokes.

On the day of our departure, the operations director engaged with us in a confrontational and aggressive manner. He threatened to involve the authorities and restrict our departure over a damaged chair, despite our having offered to contribute to the cost of the damage.

We found the operations director’s conduct to be both unprofessional and intimidating. As a result of this experience, we will not consider using this management company’s services in the future.

I recently stayed at a villa managed by Mykonos Luxury with a group of friends for four nights. While the villa itself was beautiful, there were several inconveniences that detracted from the experience — including ongoing construction noise throughout the day, a shortage of outdoor seating, and an insufficient number of wine glasses. Nonetheless, we made the most of our stay and genuinely enjoyed our time together celebrating a special birthday.

Unfortunately, things took a disappointing turn when one of the chairs unexpectedly broke. What followed was an astonishing display of unprofessionalism from Chris, the "Operations Director." His behavior was aggressive and entirely inappropriate — and we are happy to provide evidence to support this claim. It’s hard not to wonder if the situation would have unfolded differently had our husbands been present.

To make matters worse, Chris demanded payment for the broken chair without providing an invoice or any itemised cost breakdown. We found the same chair online for €150, yet we were coerced into paying €280 just to be allowed to leave the property. So much for professionalism.

When I asked whether such damages were covered by insurance, Chris brushed it off with the dismissive remark, “Mykonos is a poor island.” That response alone speaks volumes.

Bottom line? Avoid.

We fully expect a defensive and likely fabricated response from Chris, the “Operations Director.”

Special thanks to entire managing staff who went above and beyond to plan every detail. What impressed us most was how the representatives were available at any hour of the day to meet every single one of our needs - no request was too small, and their responsiveness was incredible.

The entire experience felt completely effortless on our end. We never had to worry about anything because we knew this amazing team had everything handled. For such an important milestone in our lives, having that peace of mind was priceless.

Bookers beware / unprofessional

I recently stayed at Cleopatra II villa run by Mykonos.luxury. Whilst the villa itself is impressive on first glance, there are fundamental issues with how customers are treated that are unacceptable. A company that purports to offer a luxury experience should have customer service to match but sadly this is not the case. How a company handles issues and disputes defines them and is part of the overall experience. Our party were accused of breaking a chair through 'improper use' (apparently 'sitting' is considered 'improper'). Upon reading the company's other responses it's clear that our party have been pre-judged or mis-judged simply for being a large single-sex party (we are not teenagers) and the fact there were empty wine bottles (neatly organised by the bins ready for the cleaners). We've been described as 'low budget clients' and I've not seen any acknowledgement by mykonos.luxury for the way we were treated or any reassurance that staff training or discipline will be put in place to prevent this happening to others.
Between us we've travelled the world-over and take great care and respect of our surroundings - I can assure you that if we had have caused the damage ourselves, there would be no question that we would pay in full - but this was not the case. We offered to pay for half the cost of the chair as a gesture of goodwill but goodwill was not entertained. When we mentioned that it would've been nice to have been informed about the neighbouring construction noise, but that we had not complained at all, the point was to highlight that we had focussed on enjoying our stay and not bringing issues to the management's door. Chris suggested that we had broken the chair on purpose in some kind of protest against the noise, a ridiculous suggestion. The proforma invoice for the chair was not provided up front but was on request. Chris called the police and told us that we were not allowed to leave until they got there and that we would all miss our flights and have to pay more to get home. Once we started to get our luggage into the cars Chris said the lead booker and the person 'who broke the chair' had to stay behind. We were pressurised into handing over the full amount of cash for the chair in order that he would let our transfers leave the property. Intimidating and bullying behaviour, definitely not indicative of a luxury experience.

Bookers beware of the subsequent spurious reviews singing Chris' praises in an attempt to restore faith.

Our party have no reason to lie, we gain nothing by doing so, and our reviews serve only to warn others who expect a luxury experience and spend their money in good faith. In terms of desired outcome, I would expect mykonos.luxury to address staff behaviour that has led to the honest reviews as well as an unreserved apology for their overall conduct in person and in response to the reviews.

Sadly I cannot recommend booking with this company after the way our party were treated and at the peak-season price of nearly Eur30,000 a week, I cannot accept the lack of seating and glassware for a property that sleeps 12, I understand plastic glasses are appropriate for around the pool but for dining, a selection of glassware for different beverages is a minimum. The sanitaryware has scratches on it. The walls have obvious paint touch-ups but the paint doesn't blend in. Some of the upholstery could do with a bit of a clean, most is fine but the standards aren't Eur30,000 a week standard.

It's not uncommon for pre-sales service to be impeccable as that's where the upsell opportunities are but I reiterate, it's the whole experience, start to end that leaves customers with their lasting impressions.

After reading the reply from mykonos.luxury I may have mis-quoted slightly as their previous response to Katie Sylvester's review described us as a 'low-budget reservations', not client, but feels the need to differentiate us 'low-budget reservations' from VIPs whilst claiming to treat both the same - not so if you have to categorise your customers in this way by their own words. We paid the advertised price for the property for that time of year. There is still a desire to 'fight' rather than accept responsibility for the way things were handled and once again, for yes, the twelfth time if you wish, the chair broke... it was not broken by an individual and yet we were treated like criminals as indicated by calling the police (no crime? no police surely?). Other guests may never have had breakages although by the lack of glasses, I'd say they have and these have not been replaced over time.

Sadly the reply is disappointing and does not fill me with any greater confidence. Per my title, Bookers beware.

While we respect every guest’s right to share their experience, we find it highly irregular and disproportionate that the same version of events has been publicly repeated a dozen times over an issue as minor as a damaged chair — a situation that, in our years of operation, has never escalated in this way.

The facts remain simple: a chair was broken during your stay. As with any high-end property rental, guests are expected to take responsibility for damages that occur while they are in residence. The charge requested was not arbitrary — it was based on a documented replacement cost. Your refusal to cover this cost is what led to further action.

Accusations of intimidation or discrimination are both unfounded and disappointing. No member of our staff used the phrase “low-budget clients,” and no assumptions were made about your group based on its composition. Our team simply followed protocol in addressing property damage, just as we would with any guest.

Furthermore, issues such as construction noise or missing amenities were not raised during your stay, but only appeared after the dispute regarding the chair — a pattern that strongly suggests retaliatory motives rather than objective feedback.

At Mykonos.Luxury, we are committed to offering exceptional service and transparent communication. But part of the luxury experience also includes mutual respect and accountability. We truly regret that your visit ended on a negative note.

It originated from neighboring villas or potentially even public works, which are outside of our control. Unfortunately, such activities are not announced to us in advance, so we were unable to notify you beforehand. Had we known, we would have certainly done so.

Concerning the cost of the broken chair, we kindly ask that no inaccurate or misleading information be shared publicly. We encourage you to speak directly with the primary guest — whom you are publicly involving in this review — as she received a proforma invoice detailing the exact cost of the item. The cost was split between us as the agency and you as guests, and included the chair’s value and associated transport costs.

While it’s easy to search for similar-looking items online and reference lower prices, the specific chair in question is owned by the villa’s οwner and was purchased from a particular supplier at a significantly higher cost. We cannot dictate where the owner should source their furniture or insist they replace it with a cheaper alternative.

It’s important to clarify that the damage was not caused by a faulty chair but by improper use — and as such, the cost of replacement is a guest responsibility, which we communicated.

We did our best to resolve this matter fairly, but your refusal to acknowledge the damage and instead refer to unrelated issues, such as nearby construction, made resolution difficult. These two matters are entirely separate.

We fully respect your right to leave a review. It helps us understand where we can improve. However, the tone and escalation of our communication were not intentional, but rather a result of mutual tension and misunderstanding — something that can happen in any human exchange.

We truly regret that things unfolded this way and would be happy to welcome you again in the future under better circumstances.

Do not book with this company

The Management Co. tell lies

I was one of the group of ladies who recently stayed at a villa managed by Mykonos Luxury.

It’s apparent from reading the many copy and paste responses from the management team, specifically Chris, that this company likes to tell lies about situation’s when they don’t go well.

To address specific lies.

1. Being moved from our original, very high spec original villa - Mega Mansions II - to a superior villa due to ‘Technical Issues’. Here is the original email (15 Jan ’25) received from Mykonos Luxury giving reasons as to why we were moved:

‘So Lisa,

Please take a deep breath to hear the bad news and the good news simultaneously!
The bad news is that Mykonos is in Greece (a Balkan country....). This results in its inhabitants being irresponsible, unreliable and money-driven. I am giving this introduction to share with you the fact that the Mega Mansion Owner has received a request for a whole month, 3rd May to 1st June, for his villa Mega Mansion, with the effective result of cancelling on us as we only reserved last year and for 4 days....

Now the good news. The good news is that he will OFCOURSE fully refund, and that we can move your group to an even sexier property just 700 meters next to Mega Mansion, the famous and popular Black Villa. I am attaching the link, which you should press , as I can tell you are not breathing right now (as was I for two hours until I fixed this) and I promise you, once you press the link and look at an even better version of the Mega Mansion (Cleopatra Black) you heart will go back to its place....!

Please accept not only the swap but also the complimentary transfers for putting you through this temporary shock!
The payment you made stands, and the total budget is the same! I will send you the new contract for the new villa asap!

I hope you are alive and I also hope to meet you when you are on the island!

2. You ‘remained polite and professional throughout, even as I was met with yelling and threats’ …..This is a complete lie. As is documented in other reviews, you screamed and shouted at us in an intimidating manner, to the extent that your own member of staff told you to calm down. If anyone is reading this review and would like proof of this of this behaviour, please message any one of us and we can share more details.

3. Our housekeeper reported collecting over 30 empty bottles of alcohol the following day’ ……Given the fact we were all out most of the day and evening on a private catamaran I find it hard to believe that we would be able to consume 30 bottles of alcohol in one evening and I don’t think we actually purchased 30 bottles of alcohol during the entire duration of 4 night stay! Quite frankly, this is a ridiculous statement.

Please do not trust Mykonos Luxury with your holiday booking.

After so many years in hospitality, your group is the only one to have left so many negative reviews. This raises the question of whether the issue was truly about service — or more about internal frustration.

We repeated our responses only because the complaints are identical and related to the same booking. Yet, there are contradictions: some call the villa beautiful, others disappointing. Some claim you weren’t informed about basic amenities (salt,oil,coffee e.t.c) or the proforma invoice — but we have written proof these were sent to Lisa, the primary guest. It seems that between your multiple and conflicting non-copy-paste reviews, the truth has become unclear, likely due to internal miscommunication among your group.

Here is our reply to this particular review:

Regarding the email you shared about the villa relocation — yes, the move occurred due to a technical issue in the booking process, specifically because the original villa became unavailable following a longer, higher-priority booking. This is a common issue in property management and falls under what we consider a technical reservation complication.

Due to the friendly relationship that had developed between our representative and Lisa (the primary guest), the message you received was written in a light-hearted tone to ease the stress of the last-minute change — not to mislead or offend. We worked very hard to secure an upgraded villa nearby, included complimentary transfers, and ensured the terms of your stay remained unchanged.
In response to your claim that you were threatened with police involvement: we must be absolutely clear that no one ever made such threats. I, Chris, followed standard protocol agreed between property owners and guests — that in the case of damage and no payment received, the issue must be resolved before departure. This is industry standard and would not have been necessary had a security deposit — common practice worldwide — been paid in advance. Nevertheless, you were allowed to remain in the villa, and we handled the matter with as much cooperation as possible.

Ironically, it was your side that repeatedly threatened us with bad reviews — both during and after your stay — and ultimately acted on that threat. Sadly, this seems to have been the main objective.

As for the mention of “30 bottles” — this was never meant to be taken literally or as a judgment. You are, of course, entitled to enjoy your holiday in whatever way you see fit, with or without alcohol. The point we were making is that the broken chair may reasonably have resulted from the aftereffects of a party, which again, is completely normal and nothing we are judging. However, when damage does occur — regardless of the cause — it must be covered

Attempting to offset the cost of the broken chair by referencing unrelated matters such as public noise or nearby construction is not a valid argument. In a similar spirit, we suggested a possible explanation for the breakage — not as a criticism, but as a reasonable assumption. And we truly hope you had a great time, regardless.

This is not intended to be a debate or an accusation. The chair broke during your stay due to improper use. We offered to split the cost — this was declined.

Short sighted management

Short sighted management

I have just returned from a stay at Cleopatra II, managed by Mykonos Luxury, with a group of ladies celebrating a 50th birthday. Our stay was very mixed. The Villa and surrounding area were beautiful but needs some changes.
- [ ] Shower heads were scaled and rusty in some places
- [ ] There were ants around the pool which should have been spotted before our arrival
- [ ] No basics left such as salt pepper coffee oil - which I suppose are just a nice touch’s , but that how you get luxury status.
These aside, there was construction work opposite and I don’t mean a bit of brick laying, there was what you would class as excavation work, which we weren’t warned about. We could possibly have adjusted our plans to take this into consideration…

Yes they provided a pick up/ airport drop for us and yes they let us check in at 10pm ish.

We had an issue with a chair that was being used as ‘sitting device.’. Our friend disappeared under the table with a loud cracking noise. Thankfully only bruising her arm, but if she had caught her chin the outcome would have been much worse.

We told the management straight away and as a result had our last days ruined by this company. The customer service was non existent. No - is the lady ok, no - can we replace the chair so you all have somewhere to sit… just confrontational shouting stating that we damaged the chair and refusing to let us leave the villa until we paid for a new one. We had offered to go halves in the chair anyway.

They said we hadn’t paid a security deposit - they sent an email stating there nothing to pay… !

The end result the management company held our transfer to the airport so we couldn’t leave and apparently called the
Police. We paid the full amount of the chair (minus delivery costs) so we could leave and come home.

The area is lovely, the villa has great potential to be amazing.

The management company however is possibly one of the worst I have ever encountered. I am giving this review one star in the hope that the villa
Owners see the review and move to another company. I would be livid if I knew guests staying in my villa were treated this way.

Last year, you booked a villa that was later removed from our portfolio due to unforeseen technical issues. As a gesture of goodwill, we upgraded your group to a more luxurious property at no extra charge. We also arranged complimentary arrival and departure transfers with our Mercedes minivan and provided free concierge services throughout your stay—services not standard in all bookings but provided as part of our professional commitment.

You described the villa as stunning in some reviews, which we’re pleased to hear. However, now some new complaints, such as insects and a broken shower, were never reported to our concierge team. A full inspection found no such issues. We always encourage guests to reach out to our 24/7 concierge for immediate assistance. For this reason, we are unsure if these comments reflect actual experiences or are retrospective.

Regarding basic provisions, the primary guest specifically asked if items like salt, oil, or coffee would be available. Our reservation coordinator clearly informed her these were not included in the villa setup. This conversation is documented.

Moreover, we would like to mention that your group was thoroughly informed in detail about every aspect of the villa from the moment of booking — which occurred several months in advance. Over the course of those months, every question you raised was answered fully, and all additional suggestions were promptly addressed — regardless of whether you decided to proceed with them. This level of attentiveness directly contradicts the suggestion in your review that our services are “selective” or dependent on whether a booking is in high or low season. We treat all guests equally.

Regarding the incident with the chair: after our senior team member visited the villa to investigate the damage, the situation was escalated to me due to your refusal to take responsibility. Upon arrival, I was immediately met with accusations that the chair was faulty and that the damage was our responsibility. However, this was a quality dinner chair, and breaking it would require significant force or misuse.

In fact, the manufacturer was contacted, and images were reviewed by an expert, who confirmed that such damage could only result from someone stepping or dancing on the chair — behavior clearly outside the expected use of the furniture.

Interestingly, in one review you stated the chair broke during dinner, but in person, it was said to have broken in the morning. Also, our housekeeper reported collecting over 30 empty bottles of alcohol the following day.

When I explained that the chair damage must be covered by your group — as per the terms of the legal rental agreement — the discussion quickly escalated. You raised other unrelated complaints such as plastic wine glasses (used for safety reasons) and external construction work on another part of the hill, demanding that these justify not covering the cost of the broken chair.

I remained polite and professional throughout, even as I was met with yelling and threats that you would leave “bad reviews” if we did not waive responsibility. Eventually, when you refused to settle your part of the already split damage charge, I had to let you know that I would be obliged to involve the police — as this is a standard procedure when a guest refuses to comply with basic rental terms. At no point was your departure from the island truly in jeopardy, but the process needed to be documented properly.

You described yourselves as experienced businesswomen, yet the reaction to a minor issue was unnecessarily hostile. Nonetheless, we followed policy and treated your group with fairness, as we do with all guests.

We value all feedback and remain committed to offering excellent service to every guest.
