Back to their old ways - awful software support.
Back to their old ways. It has been 3 months without a security patch and no Android 16 in sight (for the Edge 60 Pro / UK). The software and UI are often buggy and filled with ads.
Bought a brand new phone after less…
Bought a brand new phone after less than a week the rubber case that came with the phone started to go brown round the charger port and then the brown colour moved up from the charger port straight up to the camera lenses. Obviously the phone is getting very hot and burning the rubber case and now I'm scared to leave it charging and have to watch it all the time. I reported the problem within 30 days and I go told it's not common problem and I left it. Now I have tried to get it replaced as I'm worried but the customer services is the worst I have ever come across. Now they are ignoring my emails trying to make a claim. Do not buy a Motorola mobile phone if anything goes wrong than you won't get any help. They don't care if your mobile goes on fire and burns the house down.
Read before buying a Moto phone
Consumer Alert: Read before buying a Moto phone
Just sharing my real experience as a Moto user. I chose this phone for its advertised “Gorilla Glass 5 – strong and reliable” screen. Still, after a small 2-foot drop onto regular tiles—and with careful use—the screen cracked in only 3 months.
Customer support told me “even minor falls can cause damage.” That didn’t match what the advertisements promised, and I was disappointed.
Looking around online, I’ve found other Moto owners mentioning similar durability issues. There seems to be a real difference between what’s marketed and what buyers actually experience.
I’m posting this to make sure people have clear info about durability to help with their decision. Sharing so you can decide what’s best for you!

Buyer beware!!!
Bought an expensive flip phone, within 10 months the hinge broke and was told that the hinges are not covered by warranty!! Please save yourselves money and heartache and go elsewhere. Customer service is absolutely atrocious, they are rude and cut you off when you ask them questions they can't answer. I will never buy a Motorola or Lenovo product again

What a shame about Motorola
After some 20 years with Motorola we wanted to buy some new Motorola phones.
This is the email we sent the customer services of Motorola and Lenovo
------ Start of our email to Motorola and Lenovo-------
Hi technical wizards of the phone world at our favourite company Motorola!
I want to buy 2 x Moto G85s please.
I have used your Motorola 'contact us' form and had no reply.
This is my second attempt!
I have phoned your Motorola support team - twice - who said they will escalate the problem.
This is my problem ...
I use your site and find 3 lovely colours of your beautiful G85 model.
I press 'Buy Now'.
I see more details but can only find 'Notify me' to select.
When I press 'Notify Me', nothing visible happens.
Is it me?
Apologies if I have not done something right as I am 76 and have been using your great phones for 20 years ish.
Currently I am without a phone having given mine to my 92 year old step father at the weekend - he loves you too.
So what to do?
If you contact me AT ALL / EITHER WAY by end of play Thursday 9th October 2025 I shall be delighted to consider looking at Motorola products. (NO texts or calls please as I do not have a phone!) Email is good - please see below.
If I do not hear from you, then I will have to look at those Samsung things or the ones that begin with 'X'!
Come on chaps!
Get in a team huddle and give old Pete and his beautiful wife Nora a reply so we know where we stand.
It is not a problem if you are not selling them - that is your prerogative.
In that case perhaps you would be good enough to tell me what you consider to be your best offer for about the same price.
At my age we don't do videos, action shots, games or movies.
We do like to phone, text and one of us uses facebook!
Look forward to hearing from you and continuing to be your friends for many years and phones to come!
Lots of love and ringtones.
------ End of our email to Motorola and Lenovo--------
A pleasant enough plea I would have thought.
And here is their reply ...
------ Start of the reply from Motorola and Lenovo----
----- End of of the reply from Motorola and Lenovo----
Yep.
They could not be bothered giving us a reply.
What a shame.
Still there are plenty more sellers out there and I am afraid Lenovo and Motorola will no longer be on our Christmas list!
Just saying!
Awful customer service and sales practices
Just terrible. They don't honor their pricing schemes and will not provide the additional advertised trade in value.
The customer service is over seas; so if you are moving from Apple, you'll be extremely disappointed.
Very deceptive business practices
Their pricing is a moving target and often make deals by offering additional trade in value.
Their trade in partner Phobio returned my phone in error. I've worked for hours with Motorola's offshore customer service to no avail.
I'm out $200 and nothing will be done by Motorola or Phobio.
Shoutout to Casey in the Executive Command Center for being one of the rudest employees I've ever encountered.
Sorry to join the negative pack
Sorry to join the negative pack, but yes, I will Never buy Motorola again. I feel so let down by customer service (like some nerdy guy in my basement doing radio shack 60s guesswork and yes rude..) ... That i am beside myself to write a description of the issue and next steps beyond their Totally Worthless answer ... The dreaded Hard Reset.
Scammers
Never received the goods I ordered. Lost my money. this company uses unethical business standards. One of my worst ever decision in life was to buy a Motorola phone which never came. It's been one month at the time of writing this review and no sign of my refund. Please stay away from this company if you love your hard earned money.
Money wasted If you purchased Motorola Phone.😤
I am purchasing the Motorola Phone g35, offline from shop nearby me. Phone was work properly only 1 week and then it will heat up and hanged very much, I reset the device then it will work 1 month properly, and after 1 week phone is switch off simultaneously and not on, I think it will be discharge so I plugged in charger and try to switch on the phone but phone was not switch on. I gone to the shop where I have purchased this phone. He told me to the he was not change the device but the phone is under warranty, so I am going to service center, there he said that motherboard of phone is fault and it will take 5,000 rupess to be repaired. My money and time both are wasted, so I prefer all to not purchase the Motorola phones instead buy phone of other brands.
Phone sent for repair, not returned and they cannot or will not help
A terrible level of after sales service. Phone developed a fault so contacted Motorola. An in-warranty repair was arranged. I received nothing from from their authorised repairers (Assurant) so contacted them again. I then received the delivery labels via email.
Sent the phone, short delay in it being delivered to Assurant but now its status is stuck at "Repair in Progress" and beyond when they claim they will return the device.
So, I contact them for a third time to find out why there's a delay - "I haven't a clue". They'll escalate it and get back to me. Guess what... nothing.
Without a phone and getting absolutely nowhere with them.
Don't waste your money on a Motorola…
Don't waste your money on a Motorola Moto 13. I have one, its slow, badly designed, clunky, poor battery, and constantly "freezes". Pay a little more and get a real phone.
Bought phone from John Lewis g85 would…
Bought phone from John Lewis g85 would not work properly took it in to them they were unable to resolve the issues the unit kept switching of intermittently went back to JLewis Southampton tech left it with them, still problems they don't have a clue the product was only £185Binned it and now using my old I phone.Rang Motorola customer service they don't get back to you.
I bought a motorola G sylus 5g phone
I bought a motorola G sylus 5g phone. No wifi connections at all. You spend a day on 1 carrier and they say it's not compatible? Same redundant issue with the next carrier. In other words the carriers are saying motorola sucks.
I sent both back and they said they would send a replacement phone? It does the same thing the other 2 did?
I have a gut feeling I'm out $400.00 as these "so called" phones are made in a backyard garage somewhere across the ocean.
Motorola is the worst phone I ever had…
Motorola is the worst phone I ever had , even the big first phones better than anything Motorola can put out , I called to let them know the phone got so hot and cord it left a big blister on my palm , then the guy hung up , I called back a after 90 minutes says I can replace but it is going to cost you , why do I have to pay when your phones are garbage, everyone says I sounded under water , kept dropping, among getting burned . I would never waste a cent on another product , phones are garbage and customer service are rude .
Absolutely disgusting customer service…
Absolutely disgusting customer service for such a big company
Zero if it were possible
Zero if it were possible. Purchased 2 Moto Stylus 5G 2024 Apr 29 2025. Now Sept 10 2025 and one of them no longer stays connected to the internet in our home. Since I purchased one also for my husband I can compare the 2 and assess what the issue is. Our internet is working fine as noted on the other phone and our laptop and PC. No dropped connections anywhere else. Called Motorola and yes they will fix the phone but it will be gone from my possession for about 2 weeks counting shipping, repair time and shipping back to me. Since we have no land line this is not acceptable. I asked for a replacement or loaner and they refused. What terrible customer service. According to my experience, 1 out of 2 phones work as expected! The service person couldn't not care less about the issue, refused to escalate my call, saying the supervisor was not available, without even attempting, so I asked how do you know she's not available if you didn't even try. She then just kept repeated her canned words as if a robot.
Never again will I buy a Motorola product. I had better service purchasing a phone from China!
