I paid £1,349 for my daughter’s StudyMind Psychology Program, and it was extremely disappointing. The course was basic, disorganized, and offered no real help toward understanding psychology or building a future career.

There was no assessment, no feedback, and no sign of what she actually learned. As a parent, I paid for this program but got no communication, no updates, and no proof of quality — nothing that showed what my daughter was doing or achieving. Parents can easily be misled when there’s no transparency or accountability.

They hide behind their Terms and Conditions to justify the poor quality and refuse refunds, making excuses like “late reactions” or “attendance was logged” instead of addressing the real issues.

They now charge £1,799 and even £3,999, which is absurd for what’s basically a shallow, money-driven program. It felt like they care only about taking payment, not about delivering real educational value.

No structure. No career guidance. No respect. Avoid StudyMind.

I applied for a position with study mind not really knowing what to expect. After numerous phone calls, messages on WhatsApp and completing online training I thought i was set to wait for work, however I was told some weeks after first registering that i would have to subscribe to numerous websites to obtain worksheets to enable me to work. I emailed my contact to ask if this was correct and if it was i couldn’t afford to pay various subscriptions and why wasn’t I told this? Unfortunately i never got a response. I did however continue to receive numerous calls asking me to complete my registration, messages offering me work. After constant calls and messages I have now blocked this company. So disappointing

Out of date platform. UCAT section on the platform not adjusted to the new format. Very confusing resources. No performance review. The lessons are just delivered as a ticking box exercise and that was even with premium tutor. Very disappointed, it cost us to switch away from medicine application due to the lost of time in meaningless tutoring.

I received tutoring for A-Level Chemistry from June 2024-2025, with one hour of tutoring per week. During this time, my Chemistry grade increased from a C to an A, as a result of the tutoring and my own efforts. My tutor was incredibly supportive during this whole process, and was super understanding about changes or cancellations to our lessons. Cannot recommend them more!

Study Mind typically sends you at least several tutor profiles to look at before you do a free trial with one of them. The profiles include a video clip of the Tutor talking about themselves so you can get a good sense of what they're like. The tutors tend to have excellent academic backgrounds. You can switch tutors if you want. We had Zakir for my child for Maths. My child found him very helpful and effective and got A* in Maths A-level (as well as a confirmed place at Oxford!).

Kirsten our GCSE maths tutor was something else. Took my son from a grade 5 to 7. Really pleasant, and kind.
Well structured lessons and carefully planned to ensure success.

StudyMind is a really amazing gig on the side for students, the hours depend on what you sign up for, there are lots of resources prepared online and if in doubt you can message someone on the team and get a quick response!

I was initially excited to be selected for an interview at Study Mind, but my experience quickly turned disappointing. After informing them about my dyspraxia and requesting reasonable adjustments for the next stage of the process, I was met with refusal. Despite reaching out multiple times for clarification or any form of response, I was completely ghosted.

It's incredibly disheartening to encounter such a lack of empathy or professionalism from a company that should be advocating for inclusivity.

Medic Mind is very professional and responsive. I had a great time learning.
