BEWARE of Chase Bank FREE DoorDash and MA Liquor Store Jack-o’-lantern!
11/1/2025
Chase Bank offers free DoorDash!
Sounded like a deal until ordered a delivery of IPA’s to from Jack-o’-lantern Package Store Ayer, MA. Out of 6 items I ordered neither Jack-o’-lantern Liquor Store in MA or DoorDash updated me. Instead they sent Luis who did not follow directions to call my friend whose Birthday it was to ensure home. The only person who notified me of the missing items was my friend. I was charged for the full amount! How often is this Sleezy unprofessional customer service while keeping the customers money is happening! No don’t use Chase’s free DoorDash which Chase has done nothing about. Remember NOTHING is FREE with any of them and a rip off! Not to mention my friend has no gift! Worse yet Door Dash is now charging me a $25 refusal of delivery fee after my friend noted items missing and I was not notified or would NOT have placed order!

Chase merchant services has lost their damn mind. They just put a hold on my business account with no warning and when I called to ask why I can’t access my money, I was told that they are conducting a standard review.
Do not bank with chase if you have a small business. How are they legally able to even do that?

Chase Bank and Authorize.net is the best banking relationship a small business owner can have. All of my financial payment solutions, and activities are outstanding. I have had this relationship since I opened my business over 7 years ago. I am completely satisfied with their products and service, and could not ask for anything more.
App is ridiculously slow and buggy. Couldn't access money for days..
App is ridiculously slow and buggy, crashing constantly and taking an eternity to load each page. What makes it worse is that when you click something, it doesn't indicate that you've done so in any way, so you don't know if you have to wait a minute or if you haven't actually tapped successfully. Then if you do try tapping again, it takes it as you tapping the next page so you move off to a completely different one again, and takes another eternity to get back!
The app had been using up 1GB of storage space on my phone for some reason too, making everything else lag. So I had to clear the memory, but that seemed to make it even worse than before!
I have been unable to access my money or make payments for days. When I tried clearing the data and uninstalling the app, it refused to even let me provide my phone number to verify it was me logging in. It said 'Oops. Something went wrong. Please try again.' I tried nearly 30 times without success.
When I finally verified again, the issues were worse than before. I tried to contact support because I needed to make payments etc, but it took hours for the page to even load. When I finally got in touch, their only suggestion was all the basic tech stuff that anyone with a brain has already tried – restarting my phone, clearing the cache, uninstalling the app. I explained that this seemed to be partly what had caused the issues in the first place and how long it had taken me to get in and that I wasn't sure if it would even verify me this time, but they ignored my concerns.
When I tried reinstalling the app, it was again worse than before. I tried nearly 300 times, on 3 different phones, to get past the 'this is my number' stage, without success.
To confirm there was an issue with my account alone, we tried the same process with my husband's account and phone number, without any similar problems (though it has also been consistently slow and difficult for him over the years).
I couldn't even get through to chat anymore, so had to wait on hold for 20 minutes to get through to someone, who unsurprisingly was unable to help me. I asked them to transfer all of my money to a different account, but they said it wouldn't be 'worked on' until after the weekend anyway. And when I asked for a list of payees etc, they said they don't do that (though I know other banks do) even though I obviously can't even view that kind of information anymore.
When I was finally able to get them to understand my issue, I was told 'Good news, there was an issue for some customers in the last day or two, but it's been fixed now!' I replied that obviously if I was still experiencing the issue, it wasn't fixed.
All of this came at a very critical time, when trying to make a one-off large payment and a food delivery. I have persevered with Chase over the last couple of years simply because the interest rates were higher, but will now be closing my accounts with them after all of the hassle.
Exceptional Customer Service
Tonya Miller gave exceptional customer service when setting up our 2nd business account. I appreciate how she went above and beyond to get some information for us and then also followed up to make sure we were set to go!

I love using Chase mobile app
I love using Chase mobile app, but they closed my new account immediately after receiving a larger payment on QuickPay. Without warning they locked my account, and holding funds for 120 days. I think they could improve by being transparent about the rules upfront. I’m sure it’s probably hidden in the fine print, but customers should be informed.
Chase and Authorize.Net- an Outstanding Combination
We have been accepting credit cards for over 20 years and have used a number of processors. In the past, we've changed processors because of significant increases in fees, company buyouts or marketing claims that turned out to not be true. The combination of Chase and Authorize.Net has been outstanding. Easy to process and works as advertised.

❌ Worst experience ever with a payment…
❌ Worst experience ever with a payment processor
I signed up for a merchant account with Chase Paymentech, and everything looked fine at first. We started processing and hit $2,500/day within the first 5 days — no chargebacks, no fraud, all legitimate transactions with full fulfillment proof.
Out of nowhere, Chase shut down my account without any warning, didn’t ask for documents, and put a 180-day hold on my funds. No clear explanation, no support, just a canned “internal risk decision” email.
If you're a small business or working with international customers (especially outside of the US), stay far away. Chase is a bank that acts like it's still in 1999 — no transparency, no merchant support, and no respect for your operation.
Absolute joke of a processor. I wouldn’t recommend them to my worst competitor.
Incorrect credit report
I have been with Chase for years and have always been happy.
They started a new program pay in 4, where they will deposit your own money that you spent back into your account and allow you to set up 4 pays.
I read the disclosure and it does say that Chase will report it to the credit bureaus, if you miss a schedule payment or late.
I completely understand, however Chase is now reporting it on my credit as a new account opened.
This is 100 % false this is my own money and not a new account
Consumers who thinks this is a good and helpful thing Chase is doing and it is unless it continues to bring down your credit score and they refuse to do anything about it

Chase outstanding experience
I’ve had an outstanding experience with Chase Bank thanks to the exceptional service provided by my business banker, Paola Lopez. From the very beginning, Paola offered not only a warm and friendly approach but also took the time to guide us through the many ways we can truly maximize the benefits of banking with Chase.
In such a large institution, it’s easy to feel like just another number—but Paola and her team made us feel like valued clients every step of the way. Her professionalism, dedication, and personal attention have made a real difference in our banking relationship. We’re genuinely happy to be working with her and couldn’t be more satisfied with the support we’ve received. Highly recommended!
