Impressive display

Impressed by the display at the Harrogate Spring Flower Show we purchased some bulbs and have been absolutely delighted with them. Strong growth and a fabulous display of blooms we will be ordering more ! HIghly recommended

Excellent quality

The Knifophia Alcatraz I received were strong, very generous-sized bareroots which grew on successfully into excellent plants. I would highly recommend Harts.

Sent wrong bulbs

I purchased four non pollen lily bulbs. Grew very healthy and lovely. However, apart from one, they had pollen and I had two white when I only ordered one. I explained this to customer services with photos and they accused me of trying to con them. I like to support family businesses and felt very insulted. They then stopped replying to my emails. The quality of the bulbs was excellent but not what I ordered and customer services was appalling. Will never buy from Harts again.

I’ve looked into our records but unfortunately haven’t been able to find any previous correspondence or photos regarding this issue. I completely understand how frustrating that must be, especially if you felt unheard or dismissed when you tried to resolve the problem. That’s absolutely not how we ever want our customers to feel, and I’m very sorry you were left with that impression.

As a family-run business, we take great pride in the quality of our bulbs and our customer care, so it’s deeply upsetting to know you felt let down — particularly when you've made the effort to support us. I'm truly sorry this has been your experience.

Received 3 packets of top quality…

Received 3 packets of top quality oriental lily bulbs, large and firm, bursting with life, planted out in ericaceous soil in pots and fed and watered them well, oh, how beautiful are these blooms! Stunning striped candy cane blooms, amazing darkest Ruby red, beautiful delicate pink, they have surpassed all my expectations and won at 2 shows, even decorated the church. Well done Harts nursery, they have done you proud. And they were even competitive on price, I may have to order more next year, 40 lilies are not enough....

Best Lilies I Have Grown

As a new customer to Harts lilies I have been so impressed by my order this year. Strong upright healthy plants with fantastic flower head have given a stunning display in my garden. The best lilies I have grown by far! I look forward to placing my next order. Thank you Harts.

Super lillies

Bought lilies from Southport show last autumn, voodoo lily was spectacular, several other types are flowering now enormous blooms,& very healthy.Have ordered before and always been impressed with quality & price.

Lily bulbs failed the second year

I ordered some rose lily bulbs last ear and they flowered I stored them the way I always store my lilies and none of them came back this year I emailed the nursery and they said I had stored them wrong they never sent instructions on how to store them they were not cheap they were £20 for 10 bulbs

Thank you for your feedback, and we're sorry to hear you’ve been disappointed.

We’re pleased to hear that your lilies flowered beautifully in their first year, which is a clear sign they were healthy and of good quality when supplied. When lilies fail to return the following season, it’s usually due to issues with storage or aftercare which is out of our control.

Please note that cutting lilies back too short in their first year can prevent them from storing enough energy to bloom again the next. Likewise, if bulbs are removed from the soil and left to dry out, they can become non-viable. Lilies need to remain in soil or be kept in moist, cool conditions during dormancy to ensure their return.

All of our orders are sent with full Planting and Care Instructions, and we also provide further advice on our website. We're always happy to help with aftercare questions and wish you'd reached out before storing the bulbs so we could have advised at the time.

We value your custom and hope you'll consider giving lilies another try—with the right aftercare, they really can thrive for many years.

Best bulbs

Best bulbs out of 3 companies I ordered from - same plant and at the same time of year - I wanted to compare. The bulbs were more expensive than the other companies but it is clear why. I wouldn't buy anywhere else if I had the choice
