this is a scam company
this is a scam company, a piece of shit wrapper for openai-s chatbot. It worked for some time, but since today the pro version is not working giving technical error and I still should have almost a years worth of access to this.
This is a total scam
This is a total scam. I was not happy and contacted their supposed support and have gotten the run around. 2 different entities telling me to contact the other and a third party saying they will follow up Paddle us their handle. They charged me twice and I'm having a hard time trying to cancel so I dont get charged by these idiots again. Waste of time and money.
chatbot.app is a scam - beware
got scammed beware this is not chatgpt but it pretends to be
I got scammed as well
I got scammed as well. I cant understand why paddle is working hand in hand with this fraudsters.
They should check their businesspartners more carefully.
This is a scam
This is a scam, do not fall. Is just a lots of IAs on free versions.
THIS IS A SCAM
THIS IS A SCAM ! STAY AWAY! I JUST LOST 59 dollars on this waste of space and time trying to use AI. If PADDLE doesn't give me a refund I will leave them a BAD review as well
This is a scam
This is a scam. The website looks like the official ChatGPT, but it is not the real one. You need to issue a refund through Paddle.
If you refuse to issue a refund, I will report this as fraud to the relevant authorities, including the Spanish Police (Cybercrime Unit), consumer protection agencies, and the Internet Security Office.
I will also file a dispute with my bank and PayPal to block the charge.
Please be aware that these practices have already resulted in significant fines in similar cases, and I will not hesitate to pursue all necessary legal actions.
Scam, like others have reported
Like others have reported, I accidentally signed up for this (the pop-up for an annual subscription came up when I was on another platform) and Paddle wouldn't issue me a refund. Hopefully, this report will help deter others from making the same mistake.
Scam
Scam. How on earth is this getting provided as a search result by Google, they are facilitating this scam!
How I got a refund for this scam
This is pure fraud. After 10 days of refusal, Paddle.net issued a full refund and cancelled my subscription went I sent the following -it may work for others:
"Since you are stonewalling me and will not issue a refund, I will report your fraud to the FTC, government authorities, my bank and PayPal for a start.
Perhaps you would like another $5million fine like FDC one?"
SCAM!
SCAM!! STAY AWAY. Completely misleading the purchaser into thinking it's ChatGPT.
This is a scam
This is a scam. I have already notified my bank, and texted through Paddle. net for refund. I got an email about termination of subscription and, alleged, refunding of an additional service I have bought by accident (it had only took one click to authorise payment, be aware!). Unfortunately, even though I was extremely fast with refund claim, Paddle. net does not want to refund subscrioption itself. Please, stay away from this! This is a scam and must be, therefore reported!
I sure wish I had seen this before I…
I sure wish I had seen this before I paid for a year subscription. Like others here, I realized that this wasn't what I thought it was. I also wanted to see the image creation capability and they added it to my subscription without even telling me the price. I had paid with a credit through Paypal thinking I was protected. I attempted a cancellation and refund after two hours and was denied. I submitted disputes with Paypal and they found in favor of this vendor. A bad experience all around. I will also likely terminate my 25 year relationship with Paypal over this.
This website is a scam
This website is a scam. It is trying to spoof the real ChatGPT site.
I don't even have a chatGPT anymore
I don't even have a chatGPT anymore, and i unsubscribed a while ago, but that was definitely legit. Now out of nowhere i get this strange charge on my card AND an email from this chatbot.app with an invoice attached. not gonna open it, but damn
Misleading subscription – I thought I was paying for ChatGPT
I subscribed to ChatbotApp – Image Generation Pack Yearly via Paddle on 10 July 2025. The product was shown in a way that made me believe I was subscribing to ChatGPT by OpenAI.
After payment of $59.99, I realized this is not ChatGPT but another service called ChatbotApp, which I never intended to purchase. I immediately canceled the subscription but was refused a refund, even though I never used the service.
This feels very misleading, as the branding and naming (ChatbotApp, similar to ChatGPT) tricks users into paying for something they did not want.
I strongly urge others to avoid this service and be careful with any subscription related to ChatbotApp.
This is scam not Ai company
This is scam not Ai company. Please dont trust it. I loose 59.99$ on crap. I hope subsription od correctly canceled and my card wont charge after 1y.
I typed “Claude” into my browser
I typed “Claude” into my browser, and this site came up at the very top of the Google search results as a sponsored ad. I clicked it, thinking it was the official Claude site. The subscription price—less than $80 a year—seemed attractive, so I signed up.
But immediately after the payment, I noticed something was off. The interface looked strange, and after checking more closely, I realized this was not Claude. I had been misled.
I requested a refund right away, without ever using the service even once. The payment processor, Paddle.net, responded with the same bot-generated replies, repeating the same messages and actions every time. It’s been over three weeks, and nothing has been resolved.
This site is pure evil.
Stay away.
------
It is now August 14, 2025. Here is the progress update.
After posting this review (though I’m not sure whether it was seen on paddle.net), I received an email from paddle.net and got a refund on August 4. I didn’t do anything else, so I think this review probably helped. I’m very grateful.
