DO NOT PURCHASE directly from them

Worst costumer service I ever encountered. A simple task of getting a receipt or invoice was never accomplished, warranty registration impossible. Endless phone calls to the company achieved nothing. Machine took several WEEKS to deliver. DO NO PURCHASE directly from them

Extremely Disappointed with AEG Customer Service, still not resolved after 6 weeks.

We have an ongoing issue with our AEG fridge — it freezes everything inside, including fresh produce, water and even canned soda becomes completely frozen — and despite being under warranty, AEG’s customer service has done everything except resolve the issue.

From the start (25 March), getting a technician took far too long. When he finally arrived, he didn’t bring the necessary tools to diagnose the problem and promised to return with a thermometer(logger) — which never happened. This became a theme: multiple technicians came and went without the right equipment, never properly tested the fridge, and each time the issue was kicked down the road.

The only action taken was replacing a part (mainboard of the fridge) without verifying if it actually fixed the problem (it didn’t). At one point we were told a replacement fridge is the only option if the mainboard replacement didn't work, but this was never followed up on. Every time we chased for answers, the response was vague or delayed — and always conditional on another tool, another visit, or more waiting.

Eventually, a data logger was sent — weeks after the issue began — and we returned it promptly. As of writing this, we’re still waiting on a clear answer or solution. The fridge continues to malfunction, and we’ve had to stop storing food at home out of concern for food safety, have stopped cooking at home, and are incredibly disappointed — especially given that all our kitchen appliances are from AEG.

As of today (14 May - 6 weeks later) there is still no solution and it does not even seem like they are trying to solve the issue. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences we’ve ever had. AEG has shown no urgency, accountability, or respect for our time as customers. We chose AEG for quality, but this experience has made us question the brand entirely. Ironically, one day before the issue started - we were actually talking with friends who are renovating and recommending AEG products - however this will be the last time we ever consider going near one of their products.

Bad dishwasher and worse customer service

In less than a year my dishwasher stopped working 3 times, I paid the first 2 times the reparation cost (229€ each). The 3rd time I was expecting the company to check because it’s crearly not normal to have so many problems. However, a rude customer service person explained to me that it’s my problem and if the averies are different is not their responsability. Message to take home, dishwasher is shit (cost > 1000€) and can keep breaking constantly. It’s not uncommon for AEG

Don't buy their dishwashers, totalled after just 3 years!

Don't buy their dishwashers! They will literally be "eaten" by the salt used to operate them. After just 3 years our machine was deemed irreparable!

I suspect that their "service technicians" are actually salesmen who refuse to repair their machines and charge €129 for drinking your coffee and trying to push a new machine on you.

Mind you, it does not state any costs for not being able to repair the machine - only if you are a not at home.

Dirty tricks and bad machines. Please avoid.

Timing Issue

When we moved to new house, we decided to buy a new wash-dry machine. We trusted AEG and we ordered. They delivered and installed the machine at scheduled time.
When we started to use it, we got surprised. It took 6 hours, 8 hours. This is not the biggest problem. When it starts to wash it, It says 2-3 hours but It never finishes it in 2-3 hours. It is up to your chance. It may take 5 hours, 8 hours or something like that. You have to wait next to machine until it finishes because you cannot trust its timing info. You can't go out absolutely. If you do, your clothes may turn into like old people skin. :)
Keep out!

AEG showroom visit, great advice and wide choice

We visited the AEG showroom in Alphen aan den Rhijn since we wanted to check the choice of ovens and wine cooler before buying online.
We have been warmly welcome by the women at the reception who showed us the different options and provided us valuable advice.
All of this with a tasteful coffee and a goodie bag when leaving! Thank you

Broken after 2 weeks.

My newly purchased combihob cooking stove (series 8000) stopped working after less than 2 weeks, in the middle of the Christmas dinner. It will take 15 days for the technician to come. The customer service call center is pretty much useless.
For a brand that positions itself as high end, this is an absolute shame. Will never buy AEG again, full stop.

Feb 2021 met nieuwe keuken gekozen voor 5 AEG apparaten waaronder een cooker alternatief. 1000 euro. 2,5 jaar later defect en wateroverlast. Geen garantie. Niets. Chat robot etc om contact te leggen. Ronduit teleurstellend.

Non-delivery of order and no answer of calls

I ordered an AEG aircon on 17 June 2023. I received an email that my order has arrived on 4 July. I still haven't received anything and no one is answering the customer service number: 0172 468 520, or responding to my emails sent to consumersales.nl.

Electrolux people are answering this number: 0172468205.

Poor service to match a poor product.

We bought an integrated dishwasher which lasted just a few months before it started leaking and stopped working. We called AEG and they said they'd send someone out... in 3 weeks! So 3 weeks later without a dishwasher the guys shows up. He is rude, almost seeming to take pleasure in the fact that he can tell us its our fault the machine is broken because the hinges aren't strong enough to support the weight of the door.

When my wife asked why we weren't told the weight of the door was too much for the dishwasher when it was installed the guy actually said "how should I know I didn't install it". So then we're told we have to wait another 2-3 weeks for them to get the part to fix it at a cost of nearly 200 euros.

I would never buy from AEG again, their service is appalling and the products are cheap crap.

WARNING - DO NOT BY AEG!

WARNING - WORST SERVICE EVER! We bought a NEW AEG oven and when using one of the programs our earth safe fuse goes in the house. I call AEG service to get help and explain what happens and they say there must be a problem with my electricity in the house. To be sure I call them a second time and I get the same advice. So I call a certified electrician that cost me EUR 119, that says there is nothing wrong with our electricity! He measures the resistance in the plug and finds out that the program causing the short cut has issues. I call AEG and explain and they now agree to send me a service person. I behold, a CABLE in the NEW OVEN is LOOSE! On top of that, the service guy manages to tip the oven and damage the panel so they have to come back!?
I complain to AEG that their advice was wrong and that they should pay for the electrician. They say no. They claim that I should not have called a third-party service provider but I did it because of what they said in the first place - twice! I complain about their decision and they came back and said that it was 'free to follow their advice'!? So what was I supposed to do AEG when you were not willing to send a technician in the first place?

So on top of the EUR 400 that the NEW oven cost me I had have paid an extra EUR 119. I will take this case to consumentenbond
